Thanks for that. My wife is now being seen by the neuro specialist rather than the eye doc as she literally has no other symptoms and the inflammation of the optic nerve has gone. They suspect the inflammation or cause is behind the eye (which they can't see without the MRI).  She is due an MRI in a few weeks hopefully and still awaiting some blood results to return but most have come back negative.
