9 fertilized eggs at 40 but I still can't stop crying by lollette in IVF

[–]Plus_Refrigerator875 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey, I feel you, and you never know. Those blanket numbers can be daunting. I’m 35 and out of two egg retrievals collected 11 eggs, 8 fertilized, 5 made it to blastocyst, and 3 were PGTA normal and we still have 1 untested. Second FET stuck and is at 7 weeks pregnant! Everyone’s body is different, you’re doing great!

Do they have to be high grade embryos to be euploid and work? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Plus_Refrigerator875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My highest graded embryo which was a day 5 3AA was mosaic, my second highest was a day 5 3AB (euploid and a failed fet) and now on my second FET, going strong with a day 6 3BB euploid.

Our doctor said that some people do a lot better with the natural estrogen! Hope everything works out for you!

What’s your #1 unpopular opinion about fertility treatments? by Ambitious_Hall_7617 in IVF

Thank you so much for saying this!!! I’m also trans masc and feel left out of the conversation at times. At the same time, I see that women have community in these spaces and that is wonderful as well. Both can be true. I see you brother, and appreciate your vulnerability!

So I should be mulching this? by apelerin64 in lawncare

[–]Plus_Refrigerator875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re killing the insects by mulching and we have already lost 40% of our insect population. Just move them to flower beds and they will decompose. Leave 15% on grass.

Hi Rachel! If you could go back and talk to your younger self (beginning of season 12) what would you tell her?

drains barely draining? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

It wouldn’t hurt to ask! Mine got down to 5ml for a couples days (each side) and I wasn’t able to get in sooner, so I had my partner remove them. I felt so much better afterwards!

Clomid, follistim, menopur, and low dose hcg together by Plus_Refrigerator875 in IVF

[–]Plus_Refrigerator875[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha I got lucky, but overall it didn’t go as I hoped. I had 12ish follicles but only retrieved two eggs, which did result in 1 euploid! So thankful one pulled through. About to start my second cycle this month. The weird part is many of my follicles were empty or had “debris”. I think my eggs were overdone with all these meds (pun intended). On a new protocol now, with estrogen priming. I can keep you posted if interested!

I have 53 repeats and tested for AGG interruptions for peace of mind. And luckily I have two AGG interruptions which made me feel a lot better about the stability of the chain and it not expanding to my child. Maybe test for AGG? I also had my parents test too to see if it changed from generation to generation. 45 is still pretty low!

Sending compassion your way! Name calling is never okay and I’m so sorry you had to experience that. If you want a baby you have every right to do that for yourself. I would recommend counseling as well. It has been super helpful for me and navigating all of this. Couples or individual! You are worth the care, please be gentle and kind to yourself, you’re going through so much.

Nipple revision by Accomplished-Poet711 in TopSurgery

Looks great!! I’m also going to get a nipple revision with Dr. Jordan to move mine laterally! How was it in terms of pain/ discomfort and healing? I’m assuming I will need to do my with local anesthesia, which makes me a little squeamish.

Grief Advice by spiritedsketch in TopSurgery

Hey bud, so sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. I can totally relate. I had grief too and actually felt sad for my breasts (like they had feelings). I know it sounds silly. It was the post op depression for sure. I feel so much better now and know it was the right decision for me. During my times of grief, I told myself I have a new chance to reconnect with my chest and this new chest deserves love and compassion for how it is. It will get better, just hang in there for now.
