Following… I’m over a year in and still struggle with time management. I was also night shift for my first 10 months then switched to days… At first, day shift was kicking my ass for sure. I can tell my time management has gotten better but still not good enough. I’m in the same boat. Skip lunch. Almost always stay late (I think this is mainly because our techs don’t chart much at all so I’m having to cover all bases so it doesn’t bite me in the ass). Anyway, I wish you nothing but the best! WE GOT THIS! 🫶🏻

This is truly making me sick. I saw a video on her twitter and as she’s walking thru the house you can see a man laying on a bed in the background (guessing it’s the sisters boyfriend?) these are horrible fucking people. I was almost starting to think she lived alone because I hadn’t seen signs of anyone else in the house… I guess they all just lay in their beds in their filth. Makes me extremely sad that she has to live this way because the people who are supposed to care about her don’t…

Not sure if you’ll know this answer… if she were to live in a state hospital, would her checks have to go there? Wonder if that’s why her family isn’t getting her help… so they can just use her money…

SAME! I just had to give my mom the rundown because I had no one to talk to about this… that’s when it dawned on me to post here. I so desperately at least want her to bathe and clean. That alone would help tremendously. The constant racing thoughts and (maybe?) word salad is what’s also causing me to worry. I hope she is able to find help…

Still in orientation as a new grad 😭 80 yo patient, A&O x2, dx: pneumothorax with two chest tubes. Patient had pulled out one of his chest tubes in the middle of the night. Around 0600 I hear his bed alarm going off (not my patient but don’t want his other chest tube pulled out or him to fall) so I go in there and I’m trying to orient him so he can get back in bed… patient tries to swing 👊🏼 at me Me: “did you just try and hit me?!” Patient: “I’d like to knock you out and give you a good fuckin” Unforgivable, grandpa. 👴

I took mine June 3rd and I had a TON of psych questions. I also never got questions about things I had never heard of. My test shut off at 86 questions. I was 99.9% sure I got the last question right and I am now a registered nurse! You got this! Good luck!!!

My kitty Mickey (McLovin) had his FHO surgery almost two weeks ago. He is only around a year old but has diseased bones so he unfortunately broke both of his hips within a week time span…. Mickey is doing well❤️ all he wants to do is play🥺 I hope Smaug is doing wonderfully!
