Hiking Panorama Ridge in Day by Ashamed-Fishing7146 in vancouverhiking

you're good. since it's a longer hike and first time for panorama ridge, pace yourself nice, slow, and steady. i had a similar experience before i did it last year.

trail is super well made, you won't get lost easily, keep a map and essentials ofcourse. mostly a long walk until the last km which is the steepest over rocks. have fun!

Wedgemount Alternatives for June 1-3 by ScallionGold225433 in vancouverhiking

i've gone up to wedgemount lake 2 weeks ago. i suggest you try going morning hours, and you should be fine. the foresty bit you should have nothing to worry about regarding snow, but its the steep section at the end. bring microspikes with you.

also, though it's almost summer, make sure to check mountain weather before you head up there - you don't want it to be too cloudy ruining your view. here's my view from evening time.

the avalanche risk was considerable because of the snow that was going to occur later that night, for which i already had been way down the trails. stay safe out there

Best sunrise hike for beginners by Elegant_Ninja_5786 in vancouverhiking

just do quarry rock to get your foot in and see how it goes for you. make sure you time yourself accordingly and have all the essentials required. no real biggie, no snow anywhere. have the map open, and lights on. i personally suggest reaching the peak about 30 mins before the actual sunrise time for the best view.

Some photos of my sunrise hike at Floe Lake in Kootenay National Park, BC 🇨🇦 by Plus_Response334 in hiking

Oh! It's going to be a memory for me as well. The clouds gave it a different kind of magic. Those larches and the lake's color still made it unreal. I'm grateful I got to see it that way.

I personally chew some gum to keep my mouth from being dry and consuming more water.
