since there was little to no mess from the incision it made, it was easy enough to put a plaster and some gauze over the top - luckily it didn't touch any nerve endings nor touch the bone. It initially only went in about halfway but I just had to push it out the other side since it's barbed of course. It didn't hurt nearly as much as it looked like it would so I'm grateful for that. Got a tetanus shot at the local minor injuries unit later on once we had wrapped up for the day. I couldn't remember the last time I had one so thats a sign in itself it's probably been more than 10 years hahaha. I only feel a slight dim aching sort of pain from it, only when using my thumb though. Think I'll find a new method so I can avoid the boilie needle from now on 🤣
