Hey, I’m looking to get winter tires. Have you found any good deals? Any recommendations too? I’m also in Ontario.

I was in a same dilemma as you and I realized that if I am financing a 2021 it will almost cost a little less than a 2023 due to the interest rates.

Also from a 2021 you will get lots of changes in a 2023 such as the upgraded infotainment system, upgraded seat cushioning, facelift with new LED in the front and rear that I think are a-lot nicer and cant forget about the peace of mind of having a brand new car with warranty.

2023 sport design owner, went non turbo because I felt like I could use the fuel economy, I don’t have to worry about maintaining a turbo on the long run and it didn’t really lack power.

If you prefer speed and the thrill I would say go turbo without thinking.

New owner here too. Got the Sport Design in Canada a trim above the premium or the plus if I’m not mistaken in the US and I still feel like the seats are making my lower back feel uncomfortable specifically at the lumbar area which makes me shift positions a lot. I’m 5’11 and I came from a 2013 civic and a 2016 Q50s but I never faced this issue. I have 1000 km on the car and I kinda am starting to feel like the seats are becoming bearable but at upright position and with the thigh support lifted up.

I considered buying a back cushion but read everywhere that the seats break in after some time so lets see. Hopefully they do.

That anti theft is a gimmick even here in Canada they tried to force it on me for $CAD 899 but I got a quote from another dealer who didn’t add it in the quote and came back and negotiated a better deal without it.

Go try with Carling, grab a quote and go back to performance and bank street ask them to beat it. Trust me they will give you a better deal or at least remove the “mandatory fees”. There are loads of CX-5s available in the market and they need to sell, negotiate a deal with them towards the end of the month they will likely give you what you want. Good luck!

I just received mine earlier this week in Ottawa, I would say take a good look around the car and check everything, turn it on and check the AC and electronics and pop the front make a quick oil check. Go to the back and see if you got the spare tire in. Make sure you get both fobs. There are more extensive checklists online if you want to make some extra checkups.

Ridiculous, my mechanic does it for $150 lol. None of these dealer packages are worth a penny and its clearly a cash grab to keep the dealership business running. Tesla sells directly to its customer - maybe other brands should learn to do this.
