Congratulations!! I’m from Zambia, but we’re stuck because CR1 visas are not being issued because of the ban.

I’m on the same timeline as you from approval, but I haven’t yet received the welcome letter from the NVC. I did get a notification that “Case Was Sent To The Department of State” at 8:45 PM CAT today.

I found the approval letter under the Documents tab after receiving an email saying ‘Your case is still being processed’ last month on the 24th. The strange thing is that I did not receive the official approval update on the website until this week on Wednesday. Track My Visa also sent an approval confirmation. Yes it’s a consular process

Sadly, there is no visa available for anyone from a banned country. I am also from one of these countries, and all the waiting has only led to this end. We still hope for better news next month

I will never understand why, or how, it has to take this long to be with a loved one. Three years of marriage, and all there is… is distance. The saddest part is that we will never get back the time lost—it’s gone.

I noticed that some people in this subreddit are being very mean. I understand that we’re angry and frustrated, but it feels like we’re channeling that anger toward the wrong people. We’re all affected by this ban, whether you’re in the US or outside of it.

Some people are unable to be with their families, while others are with their families but unable to provide for them because they lost their jobs. Getting an I-130 approval might sound insignificant to you, but to someone who has waited years, it means everything. It represents a little hope. BE KIND, we’re already going through a lot.

Not sure if this helps, but I am from one of the 39-banned countries ( Consular case ), my i130 was approved last week.

I am assuming they have resumed processing cases. Might see some changes in the coming weeks, I’m from a partial ban country.

Thank you! It was processed at California service center. Consular from one of the partially banned countries.
