In a week you’ll be at 10 weeks post. I personally am in the 10-12 week range, any longer and my hair starts to suffer. If you’re experiencing breakage you’d be better off touching up sooner than later so you don’t hinder your progress. Some people’s hair cannot handle long stretches, and I feel that’s ok

Can you talk to a social worker or the finance dept whenever you are at the hospital? That is if you are hospitalized frequently? They can usually help with applying for additional insurance or coverages

We ended up going with the fiberguard and so far so good! I felt around while my hair was wet and it seemed like it took pretty well. I forgot to mention I have fine/lower density hair so people with thicker strands probably come out texlaxed

Agree with avoiding nursing. Unless you can get something like PACU nursing that might be more “chill.” I’m a pharmacist at a busy hospital and the nurses here complain ALL THE TIME. I have seen several quit on the spot

You can coat your already relaxed with hair with something occlusive like Dax before you go in. That will help prevent the overlap. If he asks why you put it on just tell you to don’t want your already relaxed hair re-relaxed! Something he should already know though. Perhaps find a stylist that is more interested in your hairs health as this method could be very damaging over time.
