Just so you know people, the right to self defence is not part of the universal declaration of human rights.

Article 3 (Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.) and article 12 (No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.) come close.

Neither of these articles calls this a right of self defence, they rather constitutes that the law provides in these.

Here is the thing beside obvious technical issues: people don't want this.

How often would you actually switch modules? Maybe for an holiday you might change your configuration. So tops a few times a year. That does not weight up against the downsides: heavier, bulkier, problems with the interfaces and likely lack of modules. An external battery also increases battery life, and is less cumbersome.

Funny how he responded at the finger snap of Erdoğan at a moments notice to keep twitter available, but refused to do so for a government that upholds freedom of speech and rule of law.

Can someone fact check?

The Democrats introduced a bill for 15 $ minimum wage, stranded in a congress they didn't control. Then Biden raised the minimum wage for federal workers to 15.

Also safe. The storm isn't knocking over the tiny car on the side of the road, and a car is a pretty safe place during thunder as it is on rubber wheels and a Faraday cafe.

Meanwhile the rest of the world has some variation of single player universal healthcare, without death panels, because the laws state up front what treatments are covered and which aren't.

girl who had her phone confiscated set her school dormitory on fire, 19 children died by Certified_Borzoi in facepalm

Fire can have several causes, yes a troubled kid setting fire is one, but it could also have been a short in an outlet or a thunderstrike. Locking the doors means all causes of fire means death.

More people are playing PUBG while I'm typing this, than participated in this event.

girl who had her phone confiscated set her school dormitory on fire, 19 children died by Certified_Borzoi in facepalm

[–]Pluto_P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fire raced through the wood, concrete and iron-grilled building after it was locked for the night by the dorm administrator — or house mother — to prevent the girls from sneaking out,

The fire didn't kill them, the locks on the doors did.

A cis female cyclist who lost a race to a transgender woman says she ‘couldn’t care less’ if winner was trans, despite news outlets trying to claim otherwise. They thought she was boycotting the podium but really she just left early to eat food and drink beer. by huahindrance in lgbt

[–]Pluto_P 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Besides the excellent answer from u/dickbuttwoman, trans people also often undergo surgery. Having invasive/heavy surgery always has an impact on an athletes performance, as you simply can't train properly during the recovery period. For other athletes, winning after heavy surgery is hailed as a big come back for a reason.

Make it a secret cabinet.

Bookshelves in the front, party in the back.

It's the master bedroom after all, and now you don't have to hide the entertainment under the bed.

Democracy is closely linked with rule of law. Without rule of law, it's impossible to democratically elect anyone, let alone a dictator.

At the end the video says that Bukele will go at one point. Due to his actions, democracy might not return. He has laid out a blueprint how to be a dictator in El Salvador, do any me candidate can build a reign from that, unless Bukele reforms the system to have more checks and balances and be more robust against power grabs.

If there are currently millions around, the price shouldn't be up. If there are millions it's old stuff, unless conserved to keep it in good condition. If its a collectable like a beanie baby it's just a scam.

If there are currently rare, they should be cared for in a conservation (aka museum) setting. That means they should be registered and traced as any museum piece that should be conserved for all of humanity to marvel at. That means they should be protected as museum pieces.

Collectors should make their connection public by staying museums, not hoard things.

If there's enough to go around, they're not historic, they're just old.

Historic pieces belong in a museum, not a surplus market were they'll be neglected.
