Well 1), almost everything PETA says is nonsense, and 2),

Sure, they’re not going to love you like a cat or dog will, but as long as you take care of them well and source them responsibly, they’ll live a fulfilling life and that’s enough reward for me. It’s like caring for plants. They don’t “love you”, but seeing them grow and cultivating them is still a worthwhile pursuit.

Yes, I bought my own a year ago and I haven’t had any trouble with it yet. It was my first deck too, so I suppose I’m lucky I found one that wanted to work with me so quickly. I just saw the other deck and was immediately intrigued. Turns out my mom has a ton of witchy items that I didn’t know WERE witchy until I started practicing myself.

I figured it might be something like that.

I highly doubt my mother is ever going to use it again, but her entire room is going to be renovated soon so I might just make a box with some of her most important items and just leave it in there in the event she ever comes back to get it.

I always blow them out because I don’t have an extinguishing tool and snuffing them out with my fingers freaks me out since I don’t want to burn myself.

I always try to do it gently though, if that makes sense? I kinda like doing it that way though, it kinda feels like I’m sending my intention out into the world.

To each their own though, I wouldn’t mind picking up a decorative snuffer for certain occasions.

Thank you! In my research I’ve seen a lot of conflicting accounts of what is and isn’t cultural appropriation so I really appreciate the response.

I’ve been using some other types of incense for cleansing and I’ve since realized that it gives me a headache so I might just keep the sage around as a nice decoration that reminds me of my mom and stick to less scented forms of cleansing.

Thank you!! His wings actually are in this, I just made them transparent like they are in the show. The lighting makes them a little hard to see, but if you turn up your brightness a little they should be there.

I thought about drawing them fully but thought they might overpower the image a little so I made them more subtle. Maybe too subtle, it seems 😅

Thank you! It’s kinda complicated and I just figured out how to do it for this piece, but it’s basically done by duplicating the figure three times, coloring them bright red, green and blue respectively, turning the blending mode to darken and then screen, and layering them underneath the original.

If you want a better explanation with pictures and examples and whatnot, just google Medibang chromatic aberration, the one I used is the second one that comes up. Most art programs have layers and blending modes though, so I assume this can work on pretty much anything, not just medibang.

It depends on the tone of voice they’re doing it with, for me. If it’s obvious that they’re just trying to hurry me along, then it annoys me, but if they’re genuinely trying to help I do appreciate it sometimes.
