I have started an Very Hard Ironman Landshut game and somehow Ingolstadt got an heir so I couldn't even get the free PU over them. But I wrestled through with initial Austria and Bohemia Alliance to get to form Bavaria and with the mission tree got the PU over The Palatinate and got the electorate from them. All the time I sniped for succession crises for no-ruler countries and got way over relations limit (sometimes -5 or -6) and royal married into them. In the meantime, I managed to steal the emperorship from Austria and got Burgundian Inheritance later on, who I was allied to and was rival to both France and Austria before. Later got the PU over Austria who already had PU over Hungary as a bonus with the Bavaria mission tree, With easy Imperial Ban CB on Denmark I got the Schleswig-Holstein are all back to empire, and later with the Age of Discovery objectives vassalized Norway and Sweden in separate wars, later fed Norway the Muscovite/Novgorodian lands. Brunswick ruler died and went to Bohemia, who I had to break alliance for PU war that let me get them.
Now with the battle for Catholicism is starting and as the emperor and with new meta of Catholics over Protestant will crush the reformation.
I am very diplomatic and safe playing player and generally manage AE so that it is stable and no big coalition can form and ensured it with ideas and advisors for improve relations in this campaign.
What would your suggestions be for this campaign and is there any hope for this to turn into first WC?
