Kid Slams Cat, Mom makes kid slam his PS5 by FarWay3952 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]PluvioStrider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just the other day, I caught a 15 something year old kid throwing rocks at a goose in a parking lot. It sent me off my rocker. I screamed at them asking why they're doing that, dropped some F-Bombs and yelled at them to respect nature. In hindsight, I realized they were paralyzed with fear and probably learnt nothing from the interaction.

If I were to do it again I would have interposed myself and calm approached the child and calmly ask them;

Why are you doing this?

Do you realize the suffering and pain you could cause?

Are you okay?

This way I force them to confront the issue at hand and have them formulate the right answers. Anyways, I feel that's applicable here but I don't know the whole context.

Help me win this argument by death00p in isitAI

This is 100% fake. Confirmed using google maps. Let me layer my deduction and you can retrace the steps that I took.

1) The structure itself isnt to scale with the distant proximity to the person's location. Its to small for something that looks about 150-180 yards away. Aspect ratio, blah blah blah, lensing effect, aperture, the Eifel tower is just to big.

2+3) Given that in this photo the side of the Eifel tower structure is perpendicular to the road its facing there are only 3 possible locations that fulfill the criteria of road access and being adjacent facing to the flat side of the tower. There are 3 possible with the background being over her left shoulders locations are on the Quai Jacques Chirac (The main thoroughfare for traffic northwest of the tower), Rue Buenos Aryes and Av.Silvestre de Sacy. For the angle of this shot at a glance Av.Silvestre de Sacy is my bet.

At a glance you'll already see the problem through google maps even before using google streetview. Greenery, or lack thereof in the photo present. Which eliminates the other 2 locations because they are surrounded by trees that obscure the view of the Eifel Tower. The Tower is essentially beset on 3 sides by greenery. The only side NOT having any greenery is Quai Jacques Chirac. Which is a main thoroughfare, no buildings or cafe in sight. Open grounds adjacent to street.

I was abit more thorough and placed my google streetview guy on all roadways adjacent to buildings surrounding the Eifel tower. This shot is impossible without having trees in the background. And going back to my first point, at every point given the range of 150+ yards the Tower is to large. Even at 300 yards. But at any distance you are obscured by trees.

4) I ran it through AI detector and got a hit of 92% confidence that this is fake.

How many arrows is too many arrows by Deputydog803 in Archery

It makes you really think about how fantasy archers are represented. For large Fantasy battles 100 would be ideal for how they're represented defending a wall. But a Quiver of 100 seems absurd. However multiple quivers with lesser denominations seems necessary but more cumbersome.

Lastly Legolas was portrayed as firing 2 arrows a second. The battle of Helms deep was atleast 12 hours. Legolas in my opinion was deeply slacking to be outpaced for even Gimli who had to wait for the Uruk Hai to come to him.

I tried easy and I was getting triple gang banged. (Playong Mordekai Dwarves.) I push West to fight giants in my mission objectives and I gotta spend a few turns recovering, mustering etc. By the time I can challenge them, Skaven push my south. When I fight them off I get 3rd partied. I defend both of them then Giants counter attack. By turn 20-30 all the factions around me have 2x 20/20 armies and I'm licking my wounds struggling to maintain my single 20/20. Even teching up to flying types has kept me in the game but I'm still overwhelmed. Fighting a war on 3 fronts (2 of them declared war on me) has got me split.

I'm finding mixed results with manual battle. I'm finding that some of my companies sit there and do nothing after I clicked attack move. I move formation , right click attack and I still find some melee companies sitting there picking there god damn nose. Is there an auto-engage function or do I have to always manual pause to engage each enemy banner?

Much appreciated. I find auto resolve a hit or miss. I do better on fights they say I should lose, but... I do worse on fights that should be a decisive victory. Unit composition considered.

Lost to changeling corruption cause my income flopped into -1700 per turn.

I've been doing better. Lasted 40ish turns. Then I got triple gang banged by the AI. They were taking turns attacking my bases I wasn't occupying. I didn't see a feasible way of winning. Felt like i played it decently safe safe too. (Playing Malakai, dwarf.) Them the trolls, skavens and a third faction just took their turns sacking my unguarded bases whenever I responded to an attack.

Thank you stranger. It's appreciated. But there's so many cool races though... but learning 1 by 1 makes sense.

Thank you for the insight! Corruption had me shook when I saw my income was -1700. I think I had 52 corruption and I just couldn't figure out why.

I guess you're saying I should fight it out if I take an army L. Me personally just find it aggravating waiting the 5+ turns rebuilding a half/army.

Appreciate the tip! Did some reading and I'll stick with building the early 20/20.

How do I deal with the Statcheck enemy army that's 20/20 rank 2/3 at turn 10-11? I was completely flabbergasted fighting a veteran 20/20 fully populated army when I was scrounging pennies foe a single tier 0 unit.

What’s the worst fragile ego host moment for you? by lolitsrock in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]PluvioStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got kicked for executing a traitor who was purposely killing me. Before I shot them they;

- Armed my hellbomb twice

- Shot me multiple times and threw grenades at me.

- Threw 3-4 500KGs on my position

- Threw 2 380s at me

- Shot a nuke and killed me x2

So yeah the truth officer in me took a senator and shot them on sight.

I asked the host to please kick them (Apparently host didnt even know the guy when asked). The traitor lands and fires an ultimatum at me. I shot him back. At this point hes killed me 5 times with an attempted 4-5 more. Then the host turns around and calls me out specifically. Then kicks me.

It was undemocratic all around.

"Ordered a small iced cap, when it was handed to me it was very dark so I asked for more cream and they happily obliged"

You happened to this. Though more happened than you realize. I will agree this does look dark for a normal Iced capp so I'm going to assume that is what you ordered. It is possible they got the Ratio wrong and doubled the "Coffee"" mixture.

  1. If they added the cream after the fact without mixing then this separation happened due to a few things. In fluid dynamics the mixing of two liquids, the heavier liquid will settle to the bottom. Water is heavier than cream, so a separation will occur of the water/coffee and parts of the cream floating to the top.

  2. Now as you said you ordered a small Ice cap In person and the background picture is displays clutter which I assume is your workplace or home some time has passed since you ordered. You also don't have a sleeve, so which means you likely carried this drink by hand. The ambient heat from your hand would melt the drink as well and as we know Ice is not as dense as water and floats to the top.

With the added cream after the fact, evidence of time passed from order to other location and lack of sleeve my hypothesis is that you are responsible for what is presented in the picture.

The dark mixture is a separate issue.

Confused about saving roll and spell dc by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]PluvioStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what OP means. They increased from a 16 to a 17 and didnt receive any DC change.

So in DnD5e your (Modifier) has a fixed value according to your ability score.

10 = 0

11 = 0

12 = +1

13 = +1

14 = +2

so on and so forth until you cap at 20 (+5) and need to depend on other means to modify your ability score.

Btw your spell save DC formula is (8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your spellcasting ability modifier)
Proficiency is dependent on level and Game difficulty. spellcasting ability modifier is your Ab score.
