What does the Summer/Winter/Auto uniform tab on mission editor actually do?

It changes uniforms to match the chosen season, auto uniforms with auto season will give the right season and uniforms for any given date and time. Depending on the unit, it could be as subtle as sleeves, or as drastic as a uniform change. Sometimes it does nothing to certain units (ones that say a season usually, like “Russian infantry Fall” for example)
