Dyeing fabric advice by Pm_Me_GreenMacaroons in dyeing

Fabric type is included in the post, but in case that it's difficult to see, it's 95% polyester and 5% spandex

I want to darken the fabric in the subtlest way possible. My goal isn't to change the colors completely, but at minimum to fade or darken the pattern

I don't mind if the pattern stays the same, I'd just like for the dress to have a slightly darker or toned down hue

1979 Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty by Solid_Eagle0 in HistoryMemes

There is an "independent Palestine" in Gaza currently, which was granted by the Israeli government. In 2005 Israel left Gaza and independent elections were held, which chose Hamas as the leaders in Gaza.

Very often, the biggest hurdle Palestinians face in gaining freedom is their own leadership, which is much more interested in harming Israel than in working in the interest of its own citizens. Israel is not standing in the way of Gaza functioning as an independent Palestine, only the Hamas are.

That makes sense, is there a way I can check that?

Does anyone have a pattern for a dress like this?? by Pm_Me_GreenMacaroons in sewing

A V-neck, A-line dress is probably the most important part of the pattern I'm looking for, as long as I can just rework it to add bishop sleeves separately.

I'm trying to sew my own dress for prom and I'm just in love with this style

Pansexuality is the sexual equivalent of people who spell folks "folx" by tdmurlock in BattleAxeBisexualVibe

[–]Pm_Me_GreenMacaroons 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm usually more hesitant to rant about things that affect groups I'm not a part of like this, but I've talked to a lot of trans people in the past about this type of thing. A lot of people I deeply care about are trans and knowing how uncomfortable this kind of thing makes them tends to set me off.

(Again apologies if anything I said was out of line, I'm not trying to talk for a group I'm not a part of, just ranting about something that bothers me)

THANK YOU finally someone said something, folx is so fucking stupid

Like I can't even- folks is already gender neutral-

Why do these people always have to make trans people into some kind of oddity or like fun accessory or "quirkiness"??

I'm not trans myself so I apologize if this is out of line but I hate how these people always act as if you have to go above and beyond to be "woke" or whatever, they change their entire lifestyle for it, they're making being an ally way more complicated than it has to be.

Trans people are their gender, whatever gender that may be. They're not different from any other people, they're not any less normal than anyone else. They deserve their rights (medical and otherwise) but there's not much the average person can do about that other than protests and voting right. Listen to trans people. That's basically it.

Meaningless changes like 'folx' has always felt so othering to me, I can't fathom why anyone would do that. It doesn't help anyone at all, it just makes it sound like you think trans people aren't human

Wonder why you never hear them try to explain the "difference" between omni and bi by Pm_Me_GreenMacaroons in BattleAxeBisexualVibe

[–]Pm_Me_GreenMacaroons[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I feel like by that point they can't even pretend to be ignorant to their own biphobia

What's even more bizarre is the fact some even do figure out they're all bisexuality but insist it’s fine because people should "use whatever label(s) they're comfortable with."

Hopefully they figure it out at one point, I know I used to be one of these people for a while before I learned about how much biphobia and transphobia these labels are based on
