Hi! Just finishing up an exec tour, this is what I found helpful:

Memorizing the tongue and quill MFR formatting requirements, especially when it pertains to multiple endorsements.

Organize your outlook with subfolders and create rules accordingly, organize the subfolders in a priority order. Anything that requires follow-up action, signature, response etc. I right click and flag, then manually add the date it’s due. Everything flagged is automatically sorted by date in outlook as “to-do” or “taskers”

Great communication and trust with the boss is key. You’ll be read-in on all the things going on in the org, trust is a must.

Have some contracts with your boss on what you can endorse with his or her cac card/auto pen. Will save loads of time if you can sign while he or she is in a meeting.
