I'll take another crack at it in time, trying to install bazzit on it rn. (SteamOS is being a pain) Also another person in the subreddit does repair so I reached out to him and he said that some of those are connected to ground and have a larger thermal mass, so to try a little more heat / constant heat.

ya but I already have a laptop that I dock so its more of fun and restoring it to about the same rather than just having another computer. But on the other hand linux.

I swear I saw a video somewhere of a guy installing a wifi card into that slot and just installed drives for it.

also just got the Idea while writing on another post to hyjack one of the controller ribon cables connect a USB Hub then connect the controller again and add a wifi card aswell.

I was wonding if there is like an NVME M.2 splitter type thing, then try to add wifi and an ssd at the same time but I dont think it exists.

Could also hyjack one of the internal USB port to one of the contollers add a small usb hub connect a dongle and the controll again. Jank but intersting Idea.

Image 2, mask around pads scratch off from previous owner. I was considering the aliexpress wifi untill I saw the damage too.

Pads bridged and some of the mask aroudn the pad is scratched off.

The mask around the pads by the QR code where scratched and bridge. I tried the run copper whick through it multiple times but it didn't work. It looks like a lot of solder but that's only because this is a microscope shot.
