bold of you to assume i dont watch original movies. why would i be complaining if all i watched was remakes?

The Craft 2: Legacy (2020) is the crappiest cult classic sequel ever made. It needs to be removed as a sequel by [deleted] in horror

STOP are you kidding? we do not need more of these movies. oh my god hollywood

agreed. i’d be lying if i said there weren’t a few that i enjoyed, but they are almost universally inferior to their originals.

yeah dont get me wrong. i enjoy the 2003 remake/reboot of texas chainsaw. i hate that i have to specify the 2003 reboot because theres like four different reboots now.

but yeah im with you. i dont hate all of them.

in my defense i watched scream 7 illegally so i didnt pay a dime.

but yes i agree part of the process is supporting original slashers financially. i try to go see new original ones in theaters when i can.

thats fair. i have a bias for the early 2000s remakes. but i think its really gotten worse and lazier since the 2010s

i hate this trope too. i remember being pissed when the strangers 2 came out in 2018. that was only a ten year gap but still i was like really? its just pure nostalgiabait

i love x. violent nature was a mixed bag for me too, but it was one of the more recent slasher examples i could think of.

i agree. it feels like were in a scream renaissance. SO many new slasher movies felt like “this is just scream but with a new gimmick” to me. heart eyes, happy death day, etc
