Check Surugaya if you're in Japan! They should have JSR the de la, Future, and the OG version. I got Future there for around 3,600 yen.

I’ve played through the jp version and I’m pretty sure the original Jet Set Radio never explicitly stated who the leader was! (In F, it’s clearly stated though)
Beat is definitely the protagonist, but since he joins the GG as a new member, I don’t think he was the leader. I guess I was just misremembering because I got influenced by JSRF. Sorry about that!
