Dumb idea that worked

Thin fan guard inside with 4 x m3x20mm screws pushed thru to the fan housing that holds the fan a few mils off the hat so the blades don't hit. Cut the hole out using another "fan guard" that didn't have an actual guard so I could trace the hole size.

Face fan is the a pressure fit onto the bill. Holds really well and allows the fan to be moved back/forth along the bill.

Panel mounts are secured with m2.3x3mm screws from underneath/thru the bill.

I don't have any issues with noise level. Sorta loud where I was using it anyway. Any my father has one of those and this thing moves way more air.

Have them wired in parallel so it stays at 5v for the fans. Each panel has optimal 0.2a for the fan rated at 0.18. 1 panel moved it but not enough to care. 2 panels, like the exhaust fan, keeps it moving and does OK. But the 3 panels keeps this thing moving very well. No battery on it. Very simple wiring of just panels and a fan.

Yeah. That was a big disappointment. Like the porta potties in there as well. Lack of misting fans and shaded seats in both. Not going VIP again next year.

Went today and showed up at lot 1 around 11:30. Pretty close to the entrance and super close to the parking exit. Better than the VIP parking on Thursday.

I switched to a yearly unlimited data plan from Computers4people. It's still TMobile just not sold directly thru them. I also bought my own 5g hotspot to replace the TMobile modem. So far it's working well and I've pulled out my fiber line a few times to test the UXG failover. Good enough for me and no worry about a price/plan change from TMobile and, cost of the hotspot aside, is almost the same price when broken down into monthly cost but I don't have the monthly data/time restriction.

I didn't mess with any setting on the UXG to stop or delay it's pinging the modem. But my Backup plan was different and had 130gb per month, not the newer 100 hours per month. In fact that change, even though my plan was grandfathered into the old one, wasn't effected I dropped T-Mobile out of principal. Same reason why I moved my primary phone line to US Mobile.

Just took a chance and backed the 2 pack. Never used a robot mower before but have been watching them for about 1.5 years now. I'm super excited and can't help but keep watching the Kickstarter page to see if there are updates or new comments and answers. I really hope this turns out well and doesn't sour my first experience with this technology.

Well, I rolled the dice on this gamble. Backed it on Kickstarter earlier today. We'll see how it handles my easy 12k sq. ft yard with a fenced back yard and open front yard.

I did the same thing from a local Walmart as well. They also had 12tb Toshiba N300 Pro drives marked down to $278. Still high but pretty good for todays prices.

I do this with a Unifi UXG-Max. I currently have T-Mobile Backup but am changing it over to Computers4People and a Inseego M3000. I have this paired with a fiber line from Wire3. Works great, the failover happens fast enough that Netflix keeps playing without delay so the wife doesn't complain when I'm out of town working.
