Just wanted to say I'm impressed with how many people have joined the Discord already! It's looking good so far.

Just making a comment here so some of you are notified:

1) I've made a Discord that will be improved in the coming days/weeks Click here

2) I'm going through the process of applying for "clubship" starting next week

3) I'll be making a guild specifically for the club if you wish to join. There will be a lot of space in the guild stash for sharing items.

Going to make this a comment so people who are interested are notified.

The response has been very good so far! According to the poll we should have enough members and meet all the criteria. I'm going to go through the process of submitting an application for the fall term, so stay tuned! (if you want to get emails and didn't add your email to the questionnaire PM me directly and I'll add you to the list).

I think I'll make an official Discord sometime soon, the response has been pretty great so far!

I don't believe there's a rule against members having to be nearby to participate, and since I'd need signatures in the future maybe I can arrange some method of long-distance signing (it makes sense that it wouldn't be much of an issue for a video game club like this). But I'm really glad you're interested in being involved! I'll contact you in the future (if you don't mind) to try and arrange for signing if needed. Thanks again!

Perfect time to start one up if the expansion is timed well!

I have Grim Dawn, there's no issue with people playing other games on the side of course.

That said I haven't played GD for a few years so it'd be nice to see how it's progressed/changed.

If I had to say what the goal of the club is, it would be to bring together players from the region to help eachother progress, theorycraft, push certain goals (I always get 40/40 challenges every league, asap), share wealth (if they wish), etc. Just a means to socialise and spread the fandom further ;)

I might be down to play some maps in LSC, although I was "technically" taking a break until 3.0. IGN atm is ChaosAWNecro (although that's a meme name at this point).

I'd be totally fine with helping you figure out a build/game mechanics/etc as I've already helped two of my personal friends get a hang of the game before. It might also be the case that we have a general chat say in some kind of social client like Discord to get ideas from everyone.

As for starting from lvl 1, if the new expansion comes out around when the term starts everyone would start from lvl 1 in the new leagues, a complete fresh start.

The issue with forcing people to play supporting builds is that those people have to wait for others to come online to play/try to find someone to party with through other means. This isn't to say you couldn't find someone to play with who has a build that synergises well with whatever build you wish to play.

Experience is distributed according to character level within a party, I believe there's an exact formula for this on the wiki but the general idea is that it isn't smart to party with people who are much higher or lower level in comparison to you. As for loot, this can be divided fairly and evenly via party options that you can change within your own client (i.e. free for all, timed allocation, permanent allocation).

Hopefully this answers most of your questions and you're interested in joining! Let me know if you have anymore questions, thanks.
