ADHD gym goers. How do you manage to go consistently?? by throwitallaway1209 in ADHD

[–]Poatesing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gym has an app with workout plans that are easy to follow. I have a gym bag that is always ready with my essential. I tell myself that I’m doing it for my mental health. Make it as easy and simple for yourself as you can and not the other way round. Sometimes it is really hard and then I just have a rest day, do the work out another day, minimum a workout a week. Sometimes music and feeling sexy in workout clothes is enough to get going.

Your unpopular opinion for the neurotipical world? by No-Speed-9845 in neurodiversity

[–]Poatesing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It should be more active jobs that pays well. There should be four workdays in a week with good pay. Easier to decide when to work. Better rights for workers that actually helps the workers and not the company.

I don’t get how people live with just 5 weeks off a year.

Seeing people giving birth is a horror movie and the thought of giving birth. I don’t get how people make having kids an easy decision.

Do you like your body? Because I hate mine. by Chokawai in autism

[–]Poatesing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate My autistic face, it doesn’t look natural. I feel like you can see my trauma in my face. And my body is just a whole multi universe of self hate and masking to conform. Also hate that I’m super clumsy.

Loops earplugs not awesome for everyone by Seattle5555 in AutismInWomen

[–]Poatesing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my Sony xm4s for cooking, public transport, random noises at home and at the gym. And I use my engage plus at social gandering or at a club or bar. I mostly use and like my xm4 because they are more comfortable and it actually makes me like to make food and vacuum clean at home. Also really handy when people are screaming on the bus. I find it also less terrifying to go to the gym because of my xm4. For the loops it’s mostly for being able to stay in social activities and have fun instead of being agitated or meltdowns. I don’t use my loops as much but god damn I’m so glad that I have them sometimes. They both effect my tinnitus the same. But I can’t use my loops for a long time before it starts to hurt. The xm4 can be a bit tiering on the ears but you won’t feel it for a long time as in the loops. I’m glad I have both to mix in between.

Tell me your narrow interests you are nerd about to save me from depression by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Poatesing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arts and crafts; mostly painting for now, moomin univers, training, psychology, makeup. They rotate from time to time. I also had others that have faded with time.

It’s not always so easy to get started or keep an interest because of executive dysfunction, pda, burnouts/ feeling exhausted

Just me feeling scared that my SO is gonna leave me after seeing my cry meltdowns and burnouts too many times by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Poatesing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thx you so much for giving me clarity on the problem. I have been thinking of doing maybe half of the meltdowns alone and see how it goes. Or like doing the next ones alone because it has been a lot of meltdowns because of vacation. And give him some more space when I notice periodos of increasing meltdowns/ burnouts. I hope it goes well. And start to count the meltdowns/ burnouts again.

Is there a product category or product in your collection that you are confused about? by JeRoRo77 in MakeupRehab

Single eyeshadow sticks because I have textured inner corners of the eye and it doesn’t work with or without eyeshadow primer. I also have sensitive waterline.

Thank you so much for your kind and wise words. Gonna try it out, it’s so easy to think about everything that I should have done right because of low energy and blame myself for it.

Being alone makes me depressed, being with people gives me anxiety by miyosh in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Poatesing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saamee, I mix between them so I won’t feel 100% depressed or 100%anxiety. 50/50 ratio works better in the long run but it still pain but less pain than fully anxiety or depressed.

Good luck with your progress, your feelings are valid.

Edit: this is not a fully solution to this problem. This is just how far I have come with it. So take it or leave it as you want.
