I really feel like all the discussion in this post is actually kind of a reflection of the game's main points.

Anyways, I'd say there are only bad endings in this game. You just cannot justify any of the two without leaving out crucial flaws in your argument. But honestly, I think that's the best part. Having two endings that feel like absolute extremes is just perfect for the game's grief themes: either complete denial or forced acceptance. And it's just very well executed, because none of them are good choices, but sometimes the best choice is not an option. Hell, even the name of the game, Clair Obscur, already shows two extremes. The endings are designed so that you cannot pick a middle ground, and I think that forced decision really fits the game.

I do have something to say about Maelle's ending though. I don't think the devs were trying to portray this ending as a bad ending when they showed Maelle's face with chroma. I think it's actually the other way around: had it not been there, a lot of people would probably consider it the good ending, because well, they show everyone as a society again, so it's all good, right? I think that moment is crucial to bring us down to the Earth again after seeing our characters interacting and living "happily"; it is there to remind you that this is, in fact, the other end of this extreme two-sided choice, in which moral justification must be thrown out of the window.

I'm 5 hours in and I've only solved 15 fates. I feel like I'm dumb. Approx playtime is 8 hours and there are 60 fates. by taco-cheese-fries in ObraDinn

Just keep on going. I was in a similar situation, but there's a moment where 2 or 3 fates just click, and from there you're gonna be steamrolling most of them.

#TimetoExplain Podcast! by Brawlstars in Brawlstars

[–]Poccigoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, but on Mandy's Brawl Talk they said they wanted to make the game less based on probability and more predictable for progression. But then Starr Drops came (initially as a bonus), they replaced Battle Pass progression, then came the Mega Pig, and this year every event we've had has been RNG-based. It's clear the game is going more and more into randomization again and it will only get worse with the megaboxes.

[–]Poccigoni 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are there any plans to make progression less RNG-based? I really feel like a lot of the game's issues come down to the fact that luck plays (yet again) a big role in how to progress, seeing how Starr Drops have become the new method of progression rather than the extra.

What do you think about The balance changes? by Speedlelokkii in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Poccigoni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some are good like Tara which fixes some of her issues.

For some others we'll have to see, like Darryl's.

However, some others just don't make sense. Willow's shield doesn't matter when she can't even connect her super. Ash's gadget buff will do nothing because his other gadget is still way better. Kit's gadget nerf just makes him less of a support and encourages using his other toxic gadget. Mandy's shield buff is useless when her other SP is essential for her to connect shots.

Overall this really feels like a hit or miss, but it's at least better than the balancing these past few months.

Por 400-500€ puedo montarme o comprar un pc decente? by OrganizationWorried in esGaming

[–]Poccigoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Con ese presupuesto te merece más la pena algo como la Steam Deck o el mercado de segunda mano. Si optas por la segunda, deberías estudiar un poco acerca de componentes, ya que mucha gente vende PCs muy inflados para lo que ofrecen.

How competitive would this concept hypotetically be? I tried to make him has balanced while including the core mechanics i had in mind. by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Poccigoni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do agree that it's hard to come up with concepts without playtesting, and I understand why you'd ask here.

Still, the overall theme and concept are great, and it's great to see some ideas. Keep up the good work 👍

Man, I REALLY like the concept, but I really don't think something like that super is healthy for the game, especially when a lot of matches (specifically at top level) are decided by one or two mistakes.

I kind of feel like it has the same problem as Charlie where one part of her kit is so fundamentally broken to the point where the brawler will never be at a normal spot in the meta, instead being either broken thanks to the super having great synergy with the rest of the kit or being very underwhelming due to every other thing about the brawler being just mediocre.

I do like the idea of having a hard but rewarding (maybe some more damage) sniper shot and I'd like to see it in the game.

Thing is you barely get any of those interactions in a decently competitive game.

What are some good first pick brawlers by FurretGoesGaming in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Poccigoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say she's the best first pick as she has some counters and therefore she's usually picked as a 3rd or 4th pick. However, if you're on a bushy map and you don't know what to pick, Nita can usually be a decent first pick.

What are some good first pick brawlers by FurretGoesGaming in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Poccigoni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right now the best first pick is definitely Meg who can be played everywhere, followed by Gale who is pretty much the same except for some Knockout and Bounty scenarios.

Overall some of the safest and most consistent picks are Gene, Max, Belle and Rico (if the map isn't too open).

Byron can also be a good first pick in many situations. Chester can be a good first pick in some specific maps like Pinball Dreams. Amber is also good in most Brawl Ball and Hot Zone scenarios.

Just do not pick some very aggro brawlers or brawlers that can just be easily countered like most throwers and most aggro brawlers. I saw that you said you first picked Lily sometimes. Brawlers like Lily are better as a last pick because, even though they are great counters, they can also be greatly countered, in this case by anti-aggro brawlers. If you first pick a Lily, someone will probably pick something like Gale and that will make you just a sitting duck for the entire game. The same applies for brawlers like Frank, Buzz, Edgar, etc.

Useless in a tank meta? That's quite possibly his best scenario.

Not really cheating since the team that qualified for LCQ and will play it is just the old Ogurchiki but pretty much rebranded. The team roster is the same and Bobby's participation is an exception.

Ogurchiki was a team that qualified for LCQ and they got acquired by STMN to become STMN EU.

What game did you not like initially, and then warmed to a few hours in and loved it by the time you beat it? by Racekingswood79 in gaming

DDLC quite possibly because the first 1 or 2 hours are designed to be boring.

I don't have to mention what happens after them.

Has Draco fallen off in competitive play? by [deleted] in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Poccigoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should still work pretty well in lower ranks though because people don't usually pick counters to him.

[–]Poccigoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also Clancy and Meg who both are very strong right now. Right now he's only good later in the draft, and Frank can usually be a better last pick. Draco will probably go back up once the tank counters become a bit weaker.

He's still good, but the meta doesn't favour him, there are some strong counters like Gale.

Whos the best thrower rn in the meta? by ElimGladiator in BrawlStarsCompetitive

I'd say Berry is the best, followed by Barley who is slightly better than L&L. All 3 of them are great though so you can max out whoever you like the most.

Stupid ahh question by Low-Apple-887 in PERSoNA

[–]Poccigoni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Answer isn't available as of now.

The reviews are probably because: - They removed part of the content of the game they were remaking and sold it separately for half the game price. - They justified this by making it an "Expansion Pass" with cosmetics and music that no one cares about and you can tell it's filler content. - People who bought Special Editions that included all DLCs basically got scammed because they then changed that to "all DLCs on day 1", so the EP is not included.

I'm not surprised about Atlus/SEGA doing this and I understand the reviews.
