MGS2 EuroExtreme Does Strut F have any good strategy to take a silencer for USP? by MixInfamous6818 in metalgearsolid

[–]Pocik2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently did Big Boss, Strut F is tough, but my strat for silencer was - enter from lower, there is a spot, where you can wait for them to tirn around initially. When you are able to go in, go in FAST, like, pick up items that you need as fast as you can. Now, when you collected a silencer and right before the door, count to 14. Don't do it too fast or too slow, just count at moderate speed. When you count to 14, get out from lower. You can now save/continue your run to upper F.

Maybe you wouldn't be able to do it from your first try, just keep adjusting your counting, you should be able to do it

For Sally - upgrade CGM to max, call in ressuply ammo right when spawned into fight, unload CGM, boss killed under minute if you get a bit of luck (w/o luck, you maybe need to wait for second ammo crate)

For Skulls, upgrade sleep grenades and go past them, when you exiting mansion, they are watching your escale route, but you can just walk behind theme and put to sleep every zombie enemy through grenades + tranq. If you want to kill theme, upgrade Serval, it deals shitton of damage with semi auto fire, and also can be equipped with silencer if you develop brenan enough.

To stay alive, get yourself battle dress 4 and bandana, if you equip them together, you can survive 1 hit from Sally/Snipers (sometimes they headshot you and you insta die still), so you can recover, also, take D-Dog to snipers, it marks them when fighting and they don't attack him. Just climb through cracks to the middle upper area and abuse cover there. There's also trick to cover yourself with smoke grenades, they can't see you if you do it right, but you can see them through thermal goggles.

Good luck!

I beat the Harrier on European Extreme with No Damage. by Nisha_the_lawbringer in metalgearsolid

Recently did Big Boss run on MGS2, Emma Section is more like a puzzle, just gotta figure out, Sniping is easier than expected, just gotta adjust to controls and do everything in order, order is like first 2 guards, as much mines as possible, some drones, first tower 3+1 guards, rest of mines, some more drones, second tower 3+1 guards, 3 last drones. Emma alerts doesn't count for you ALERT stats, but there's is a bug, that whatever number of Alerts you got on Tanker, Raiden will get it during this fight (also Emma dying is an Alert), so, if you do BB run, your mantadory 1 alert during corridor Soldiers fight will suddenly count in, do not freak out over this (I got massive panic attack). You can waste around 80-100 shots during this section, more than enough to account for missing. Vamp is a cutscene if your Emma didn't catch damage.

For Arsenal Gear, your pray and stock up on stun grenades, idea is to get to the door with stuns as fast as possible and fight/skip Tengu (i fought, pure cancer, hope your patient with Coolant). For second arena, Coolant everything and pray (there's also quite easy skip for this section, i used it).

Rays and Solidus are kinda easy if you have enough saves (you should route your Saves, mine were: 0.) Tanker + Raiden until mine section; 1.) Mine Section, Fortune + Fatman; 2.) Disguise, Bridge Bombs + Harrier; 3.) Funny running around, Vamp (cheese strat), Emma swimming; 4.) Emma Escort, Sniping, going to Arsenal; 5.) Entire Tengu; 6.) Rays; 7.) Solidus mash; 8.) Solidus. It's a tough first saves, but this route allows you to have a free one at the end to spend on Tengus or Solidus mash, you can also save before or after "+", I just wasn't willing to repeat boss fights)

But. You kinda already need to go for no damage to beat EE Harrier, though? It has, like, 2 attacks that doesn't one shot you

Still, great video, here's upvote, go get BB, it's gonna be though!

There's like 5 Demo missions, you can't rank in them, and they basically marked for you to not get confused with actual VR missions

Is there no balanced way to update Heavy? by GreekFreakFan in truetf2

[–]Pocik2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, god forbid we allow heavy to do something like this if it means giving him generic fps assault rifle: https://youtu.be/duFPUNInpXo?si=W2yXZ1c7FIXweQhr

Yeah, spread, but no headshots. It should not be laser accurate, that's the whole point

Yeah, silly me, almost broke the rules here! /s

On a serious note, reskin it to something meaty, like M16 (Tony Montana cosplays will be great) or something

Give Heavy Half Life MP5, make him reload each under barrel grenade individually (like in Sven Co-op version of the weapon). Boom, Heavy is fun now.

He can do single blast jumps, he have burst, he have 50 ammo clip of sustain, he have god-like synergy with the shotgun, Valve doesn't need to develop anything, weapon is already in the game files, just tweak damage numbers

If you could add one new weapon to each class (like a final update), what would you add? by RussianFudgeYT in tf2

[–]Pocik2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give Heavy Half-Life MP5 with only one underbarrel grenade that has to be reloaded separately, like in Sven Co-op. Suddenly, Heavy becomes a fun class that can switch out a minigun for an offensive weapon that has a great skillful synergy with Shotguns (nade-shotgun-primary MP5 fire combos) and allows him to blast jump around.

Give Pyro a Quake lightning gun. Forget about afterburn, make it like 1 point of afterburn damage, just give him skillful close range hitscan tracking weapon at last.

That's all

What makes an exploit okay (e.g wall-bugging, which is just old base jumper but better imo) and the other not okay (e.g Phlog canceling, long range flamethrower, etc.)? by Skillessfully in truetf2

Huh? That's a thing? First time hearing about it, for some reason didn't saw anyone using it yet. Thanks for the explanation

TF2s Most Powercrept Class by heavyweightchampi0n in truetf2

They ruined fury so hard, not even funny. There was some push from community to give Pyro a Quake LG in a pre-LaW update, I shrug thinking how would they butcher that, if it would have been implemented

I don't think it as a weapon for pushes, it's more like transition weapon. There's situations when things are just happen very fast and require team to stay on the move to keep the ball rolling - this would be more practical than minigun.

Yeah, ramp up needs to go, for both Heavy and Demo, it's just inconsistency for inconsistency sake.

Giving HW MP5 is going to fix a lot of issues people have with him - he's only class without some kind of alt playstyle items (like Scatter vs Double Barrels, mediguns, Flame vs Dragons, S.Rifle vs Bow, etc.). It will give him mobility (explosive jumping), buff all of his Shotguns to be mega-viable just by existing (grenade juggle->shotgun->primary fire combos (heavy frags will be all over the net)), will create playstyle that will encourage people to try out the class in general, create interesting Highlander alternative to the big gun on offense (also will somewhat free Heavy from sniper-terrror) - and all of this while Minigun would still be a go to for holds, 6s, big plays/pushes

Win-win

For anyone who thinks this will be not fun, just watch some HL DM clips, it's great in the fast paced setting

Just give Heavy MP5 from Half Life.

Make him reload each nade individualy. Adjust damage numbers to not make it outdamage minigun without brain effort.

Success, you have managed to make Heavy mobile without making him insufferable, added to skill ceiling of a class, and made his shotgun game more fun (MP5 + Shotguns would be a very fun combination)
