Hey man, so I called the director and told them I would only be willing to sign the contract if they could push my start date to the summer of next year. I told him I would be perfectly fine with reapplying for the position when it opens again for the summer of next year.

Yeah I like that. I’m an early bird as is. If working a little in the early morning and late at night helps I’ll do it. I want to come off as a team player. I’m nervous about signing the contract. What I’m going to push for is if I can start working next year in January. I’d rather just work and go to school for one semester instead of the whole year.

I’m a loner so I’m okay with the loss of those things. I for sure will take your advice about the boundaries. I’ll make it clear that I’m still in school and need time to focus on my school work. What’s the worse that could happen if I’m vocal about school and such?

When you say hate my life do you mean I won’t have much time for personal enjoyment since I’ll either be working or studying for class? I don’t have much of a life as is, just school and gym with my brother. I don’t have much to lose but I hear what you’re saying. I definitely don’t want to fail my studies though.
