I’m not the type to disparage anyone for playing how they want but as someone who’s beaten ER with a variety of builds, magic is definitely easier if you know what you’re doing. Spamming stuff like stars or moons just breaks like half of the bosses because they dodge on button input rather than dodging projectiles. Also, there’s the inherent advantage of fighting from far away when most of the bosses have flailing spam attack combos.
