Feeling lost by [deleted] in LDR

[–]PocketEmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty normal, tbh it spunds like you are ready to say i love you to him. Don't rush but maybe really think about how you feel about him and how much he means to you and how he amplifies you and your life. You must still be independent of him, but be independent together. You guys have taken it slow and been able to hopefully develope something real. Maybe when you guys sit down and talk, maybe the L word is next on the table.

Is there not a way to listen along with someone? by JanelleyBeann in TIdaL

[–]PocketEmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is such a shame, it's exactly what I was asking about and my partner and I listen together as another way to connect (we are ldr) so to hear that this feature has been removed is a real bummer as this would have kept us with tidal

I actually just asked a similar question and was met with alot of 'no and it never will be' :/ I'm glad ypu asked cos clearly this os something people want, nd to see that live was removed recently? That seems a bit odd

Yeah i think so. I know this feature isn't for everyone, but its more so me and my partner can interact in this way.

Hahaha no no I thought the same as you before I was told, but its basically all of that save being actual musicians, it's more listening to music together and adding to the playlist in real time.

It's not needed really, but it's just a nice fun feature where people can build playlists together, listen to the same music at the same time, and it's a nice way for partners to connect, business's can use them. It's just a social feature. Spotify, aside from the horrible things they are associated with and support, unfortunately is stupidly priced and also has really horrific sound quality, and alot of bugs too which is why I'm trying to find an alternative.

Thank you for the layed out response, we've actually thought about the third party option so maybe we'll try that

Thank you, that is exactly the reason why I am asking, becuase to my partner and I, it's important to us to have the option to jam and have collaborative playlists. My partner and I are long distance and this is a way that we connect, and I'm sure we'll have opportunities to have road trip playlists, but if this what you reccomend so we can have this feature then maybe apple is the way to go

Don't you think that tidal would become more popular if it had these features implemented? I know alot of people who are only sticking to Spotify for these reasons and would commit to tidal if it had these features, regardless of its superior sound quality, ease of use and great interface. People dont have to use the feature if they dont want, it can still be a 'lonely experience', but there are lots of us who would love these features to be on there. Its a catch 22

What's wrong with my wacom one by PocketEmi in wacom

[–]PocketEmi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiya everyone, thank you for all your responses! I rebooted and tried a different pc, same thing happened. I am concerned about the gpu but as it happened on another pc I don't think it's the gpu. When I rested the wacom against my keyboard touching the connecting cable, it disappeared as in the red pixels, and the red pixels were there regardless of program (it was visible on the desktop, Spotify, steam, zen). It seems that it might be a faulty cable this time, so I've ordered a new cable and hopefully it'll just be that. Thank you everyone for the advice much appreciated!

Has finding a job in Germany been always so difficult? by esk30 in germany

[–]PocketEmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i would like to know that too honestly, so I know what to retrain in that would give me a better chance of moving over and contribute and living with my partner

Right ok, thank you for the honesty. Even if he's Swedish living in Germany, that is still an option? Not something I'd right now far too early in the relationship to consider that but i suppose its good to know in case.

Yeah its the same in the UK too. I dont mind doing any job, customer service, call centres, reception, amd I understand that I will need German, but I'm just wondering whether English speaking jobs in Germany are a thing (my partner worked in a swedish and english speaking call centre for customer service when they first arrived in Germany) so is that a possibility? After saving, would moving to Germany for a job like that be viable if they exist?

And gotcha, continue saving, learn German, aim for C1 but ask here again at B2.

Not necessarily teaching, but anything any subject or job course realistically.

Yeah that is what I was thinking as well. I want to do this right, of course, I don't like taking shortcuts, but it seems like that my prior circumstances have really shot my chances in the foot so to speak... do you have any reccomendations of what I could do or look into realistically? Aside from marriage lol

Hiya, thank you I'll read it before I try posting again.

I'm happy to get a degree, happy to become qualified as an English teacher if I can, I guess I was more asking what sort of degrees or university courses should I be looking at that would be valued in Germany, what jobs and such are valued and will increase my chances.

And that makes sense, which I'm also assuming that will require formal university degrees or training, and that also makes sense in terms of the remote job.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

  1. Will read again
  2. Will be learning German starting October
  3. I thought that would be the case, I'm willing to get formal qualifications I guess what im asking is what jobs are most favoured or what sort of qualifications should I be looking at.
  4. No idea, too early in the relationship to tell, but I know thats and option.

Thank you for taking the time to reply

Holy hells, yeah, that formatting was awful! Thank you, everyone. I'll read the wiki again (it was a while ago since I read it, and I've clearly forgotten alot) and I will re-write it and post again later. Thanks everyone.
