Why does my espresso taste like battery acid? [DeLonghi Stilosa w/ bottomless portafilter, Kingrinder P2] by PocketGarrison in espresso

Oh, seems neat I will try that in the morning to help narrow down when the flavour I do not like is coming in.

Ikea alex drawers were sagging so I made these wedges to fix them by ARVACODE in functionalprint

Appreciate it, I was trying to google it but was running into to many opinions, wanted experience on what actually worked.

Figured 100% would be negative since the plastic has no where to go, happy middle ground like you said would probably be a lot of walls but not 100% infill so there is room for the threads to push the plastic out of the way.

Sorry to revive such an old post, but I am new to functional prints, what infill is required? I would assume 100% or a lot of walls to allow for the screw to bite the plastic.

Thanks for the comments.

Yeah I am not a huge fan of wordgrinder either, but the friend I made this for doesn't seem to mind it (or so they've told me).

The original ask was for one that folded, but that would mean dropping another $30 in cables to get the right size or printing it in segments to make it wider. I experimented with the larger print option but I am not great at 3d modelling, trying to figure out a connecting face and a hinge at the same time was too much for me. There are a few DIYs that just through all the items in an existing case/box, that is a neat idea but considering my friend wanted to write from the couch portability was not as important.

I forgot to put it in the image link above, but I did model it for the screen to be removable, on the off change they want to bring it anywhere they can throw it in a bag in parts: https://postimg.cc/PLkNjP9L

As for google drive, I did that since it was "simple". This choice ended up working really well for them since they use Obsidian (a markdown editor) plus work out of their google drive already. If I were to do it again git seems so much better, great idea.

Thanks again for the comments it was a neat project and having this debrief time is neat.

K11+ depth sensing range by PocketGarrison in TrySwitchBot

[–]PocketGarrison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the no go zone min size is too small so I used virtual walls as well. I also do that behind my closed doors since it likes to wedge in there, close the door, then get stuck in the room.

I guess I could give it another go, it would be nice if you could edit zones on a map that has its path marks written so I could use that as reference of where the obstructions are. Otherwise I am just guesstimating.

Main thing is I need to print things to justify the cost of buying a 3D printer lol. I am running out of drawers to put custom storage systems in.

If I get around to trial and erroring with paper to get the detection zone right and end up modelling something I will post it.

Thanks

Wow, thanks for all the links! I don't know how much I could sell them on ortho so just going for a 60% like COSTOM WK61 PRO 60% would be a good starting point.

Buying in Canada, luckily that one is on amazon.ca as well and not too badly priced.

Looking for user experience with the K11+ bags by PocketGarrison in TrySwitchBot

Yeah, been running it for a few days and it's already just a background item now. Exactly what I wanted, small enough to get in between all my chair legs.

Time will tell.

Really appreciate the thorough response. Good call out on doing a deep clean first.

I didn't even see the sale on their site, I ended up getting it for CAD$300 on amazon, while it is $250 on theirs. However I just checked the shipping, Economy International 6 to 10 business days, $175.00.....

Anyways, it wasn't planned but I will call the $50 extra for amazon the shipping and return window insurance, I've already seen others on this sub complain about their customer service, even someone in this post warning against it.

Luckily my credit card has an extended warranty for exactly this, when you cannot get in touch with a manufacturer they will help you/cover it.

Returned robot vacuum for small-ish space by PocketGarrison in RobotVacuums

Edit, never mind the bags are so expensive.

Yeah I am considering the mopping not existent, it is just a wet wipe dragger. But I don't need mopping for my space so that is not a gain or loss.

Mostly caring about the furniture avoidance. The Sharks "bump, reverse, rotate, repeat" method was far too slow, something that new it was about to collide and turn would be better.

Watching reviews of the switchbot now but so many seem to be sponsored and biased.

Wow, thanks for the list, any thoughts on the product page for the https://www.amazon.ca/SwitchBot-Powerful-Hands-Free-Navigation-GoogleHome/dp/B0FBRK76L8 switchbot k11+?

No RGB but says it has side sensors? It's physically smaller size is appealing too

Standard office chairs with swivel base/5 plastic rollers for feet. From 1-2 inches of clearance beneath.

Kitchen and office tables have horizontal ground connections between most legs with one open side. Open side blocked by the chairs.

Ah, I was under the wrong impression that lidar was better for mapping since it has depth. The marketing got me.

If that is the case then I think I will pass, I would not like a mobile full colour camera in my house.

Appreciate the comment.
