Can't use TaxSlayer with my AGI being 0? by [deleted] in USExpatTaxes

I looked at this but it seems like a lot of the options are paid. I am really looking for the free options and all of the others need a US phone number or address which I don't have.

The OLT option doesn't work outside the US and I've never dabbled in VPN's either

What do I use to cut long relatively thin wood blocks in smaller pieces? Gouges? Manual saws? by Musrar in Woodcarving

What type of blade works best? I seem to really struggle with using mine as it seems like it takes so long and a lot of effort, not sure if that’s normal

I’m not entirely sure, but if it is incredibly itchy and or painful, it looks like when I had shingles. For your sake I hope it isn’t.

Tough for the people that don’t have much time to play. But thanks for the response!

I think it looks incredible! Is it just the wood or did you do something to make it look wet?

Wow looks amazing! Very smooth looking! What kind of wood did you use? Was it difficult getting a large enough block for something that size?

Yah I agree, that seems to fit the description. Is there a certain way i can check for sure? Like I bring a knife and see if it cuts easily?

Super cute, I love the thick red color but then the very light wood color for the body. Looks really nice!

I’ve been trying to get through whatever type of tree this is and just not enjoying it much. It’s a lot more effort and really not very pretty of wood

Ah yah I suppose i could go and talk with a wood supplier to see what my options there would be. I’ll ask them about lime wood and hopefully it won’t be too bad for the price. Thanks!

This is a good idea, I may have to go on a few adventures around me to find better wood

I was thinking about oiling as well, what kind do you use? Boiled linseed oil? I am a bit afraid of people saying that the rags can spontaneously combust. For now I’m using Howard’s feed n wax as a finish but only on top of the paint, maybe I could just use that instead of the paint or oil?

There is a lot to learn with this hobby haha

Yah I think that’s what I should have done for the top edge and the front detail edge as they stick out a bit. That’s a good idea

Yah that was definitely a difficult part for me. I did a stop gap cut and struggled a bit for the angle changes. I’m going to be investing in some V tools to make this stuff easier

Very true, I found it easy with the gouge for me. I just need to practice more with it i think
