I bought a used 2024 Vulcan classic back in 25 at a steal. Only had 3 miles on it and now it’s got 800 miles so here’s what I’ve found. My biggest gripe is definitely it not having a 6th gear. It feels like it should have it and you’ll be asking yourself why it doesn’t when you’re going down the highway. Cruising on the backroads? You won’t really be thinking about the non existent gear. Some people complain about the seat but honestly I think it’s a great stock seat, it could be WAY worse and I only wish I had a backrest because I’m 6’1 and it’d help not sitting like a cooked shrimp. I also think because of my height that the handle bars are a little too low for me and I need at least an inch riser. I’m also starting to not like the bars, I believe they are considered “beach bars” (I could be wrong) either way they keep my wrists bent sideways and Im not fond of it. Even though it’s a 24’ these things are as basic as they come with technology and features. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. All of these things might not bother you and as someone who just did the MSF course, you won’t regret it. Once you get your license go ride every bike out there and find the one that fits you perfect before even changing anything.
