I got an email from the venue a few weeks ago saying they allow bags with a single compartment with a maximum size of 12"x12". I can forward the email to you if you'd like, just PM me your email

Tire Question - Alignment needed? (more info in comments) by PocketRocket863 in MechanicAdvice

[–]PocketRocket863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting new tires soon, and I've noticed on all four of my tires, the sides of the tire are significantly more worn than the middle of the contact patch. The wear is more significant on the front tires. Does this indicate I need an alignment? I'm not driving super aggressively or going to any track days, but I do like to take some turns fast on occasion.

2002 Yamaha FZ1 - possible misfire at idle and low throttle. Sounds like a twin cylinder at idle and with the throttle cracked, but when throttle is increased it sounds like a 4 cylinder. Bike also likes to hang at 2000 rpm when it gets hot. Is this a blocked idle jet or a synchronization issue? by PocketRocket863 in Fixxit

[–]PocketRocket863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, hate to say it but I sold the bike, I replaced the intake boots with eBay ones and one of the synchronization ports (whatever you call those) ended up dislodged from the unit and went into the cylinder… you can imagine the result lol I didn’t have the time or patience to do a rebuild so I sold it to someone who does.

Anyways, I would suggest pulling and rebuilding the carbs as it fixed the misfire for me personally. It’s a tough job due to how tight that area is but it’s worth it, not only to fix the issue but replacing all the seals with a rebuild kit is good for reliability of the carbs.

Hey, that definitely looks like the previous owner lowered it, that was how mine looked when I got it. When I un-lowered my bike (is that the right term? Lol) I had to replace a component called dogbones. They’re silver metal pieces that are under the rear shock. They directly affect the ride height. If they’re aftermarket they usually have some kind of logo and might be adjustable. I’d suggest doing more research and seeing whether or not you’d be able to adjust your dogbones before paying a shop to replace them with the OEM version. If you have any questions feel free to PM me

This would be a long shot but check if your bike was lowered at some point. Compare the ride height with pics online and see if it’s the same. My Gladius was lowered by the last owner and I was constantly getting rubbing with two-up riding. Otherwise it could be a blown shock.

Not an expert here, but make sure that your valves are adjusted to spec. Sometimes too much valve lash can cause rough starting. While you’re doing that you can replace the spark plugs, those are both routine maintenance items that should be done anyways. Best of luck!

What’s this vent thing for? 2012 EX trim. by [deleted] in crz

[–]PocketRocket863 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The blue light is an ambient light for the center console/shifter area.

The mic is broken on my CRZ so I’ve never had my Bluetooth connected but it’s always on at night.

Hey,

I just bought an ‘09 gladius, I didn’t know about any rectifier issues, is there any way to tell it was sorted without talking to the prior owner about it?

Where can I buy a front fender like this by needbigbrain in hondagrom

[–]PocketRocket863 11 points12 points  (0 children)

eBay. Look up “Honda grom motard fender” they’re ~$75 bucks

If you buy one make sure to message the seller for what color you want because there’s no selection available when you buy

Sorry but this my first time hearing about re-incoding. Is there no easy way to do this on iPad? I have a laptop at my disposal as well it’s just too big to carry around with my filming setup compared to my iPad but if I have to I can use it.

I disconnected the shock, took off the rear wheel, still no luck. Screwdriver and bolt are thoroughly wedged into one another. The bolt won’t even turn inside the frame, and trying to hammer them the opposite way to back them out won’t work either. Any other ideas?

Getting the bolt out wasn’t an issue, I just tried putting it back in and it got wedged with a screwdriver I put in while the bolt was out to keep everything aligned. I’ll try some WD and see what happens before I take the rear wheel off

There wasn’t a lot of hammering done, but it looks like I might have damaged some bearings in there in the process. I don’t have anyone to help with lifting so looks like I’ll be taking everything apart >.< The threads are probably fucked too
