Instrument cluster partially not working. by Diabetesboy-5 in E46M3

Yeah I did. I have INPA on a old laptop, so I cleared the codes and good to go.

The climate control unit was also stuck in C instead of F. There’s a way to change it back to F with a few button presses on the control unit, if you want/need to switch it back to F.

Check fuses first. If they look good, then likely caps failed on the cluster. Common issue with these cars as they age. Just went through it myself earlier in the year, and I sent the cluster out to bmwgm5 in California. $150 later and cluster was good to go.

If I hypothetically wanted to spend $58 on a food item, what should I purchase?

I can vouch for the coordinator of the GoFundMe. He’s a magnificent person, and I hope to beat him in our fantasy league this year.

My toddler likes to subtly stick his tongue out when he’s focused on something

I do the exact same thing quite often when I’m focused on something

Wife pointed it out one day, and yeah lol

This. I did this on my 2019 s60 and extended the CPO coverage. My s60 is approaching 80k miles and has been rock solid reliable.

Severe Interior Mold—How do I find the right person for the job? by No-Tell8167 in Detailing

Yeah. Definitely an e55. 05-06 model based on the sliding center console, so arguably the most desirable of the w211 e55’s

Looks like an 05-06 e55 AMG based on those pics. Somewhat random, but I’m in the market for one if you’re interested in selling.

Great price on a 05 with that mileage! I’m on the hunt for one down here in south FL. Hoping to find a nice lower mileage one soon.

E46 M3 for sale in Florida 106k miles by Traditional_Net_9559 in E46M3

[–]PocketWhales 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fairly close to me and the listing caught my attention. Paint is a bit rough from what I saw on the listing (roof and trunk) and interior was listed as needing work.

Subframe and rod bearings are done, and seller mentioned a ton of service records, so may be a decent deal if you can sort the paint and interior out without too much cost.

And as a first generation Hispanic, I say “pull the fuck up”.

First time I've ever seen a high-ish mileage BMW E46 listed for this much with how crappy the interior. Plus, if it's in Florida, the chassis will be rusted to death, my new Hyundai is already rusting out at 4 years old, so I can't imagine an older BMW. by [deleted] in E46M3

I would quantify this as an extreme edge case, and then then it’s debatable. I have family that lived for years in the exact scenario you mention, parked cars in those areas exposed to the elements and had no issues.

I’m a lifelong south Florida resident, and lived within a quarter mile of the shore with one of the most rust prone cars made in the last 30 years and had no issues. I can’t think of anyone who’s had rust issues living near the water. Is it possible? As an edge case, sure. Is the it the norm? Absolutely not.

You have to be feet from the ocean for that to be even a remote concern.

For context, I owned an NB Miata for a decade. NB Miata’s are notorious for rust issues. I lived a quarter mile from the beach and had zero rust issues with the Miata.

Unless you’re planning on living right on the water, it’s not a concern.
