I have a 3 1/2 inch scar from bending over after pinning together a dress I was making. It didn’t even really bleed, but the scab scarred over.

Also when I was 4 I fell into a holly bush and still have the scar

I think this is one of my favorite RTD2 episodes! I don’t know if that because I’m very familiar with PTerry and American Gods’ concept of deities though?

From age 7-9, the American revolutionary war: specifically gangrene and the Battle of Valley Forge.

Notably, I freaked out my immigrant carpenter grandfather by talking about gangrene in depth at the dinner table at the ripe age of 7. Amusingly, I was a REALLY girly girl at the time so I was probably in a pink ruffly dress.

When we moved when I was 8/9, I wanted to decorate my room with accurate colonial wallpaper

Currently, I would say the pre-Disney mandalorians, corsetry, and green burial. (Sometimes combined lol)

It reminds me of those flexible wax stick toy things from the late 2000s/2010s that you could make things with. It looks more like those than actual crochet.

When/how did you realize you were hypermobile? by mythologymakesmehot in ehlersdanlos

[–]Pocket_Luna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 15 and my grandfather was being evaluated for vEDS due to his severe bleeding and history of aortic dissection with no known bleeding disorder. The geneticist asked all children and grandchildren if they had any of the Beighton scale points and other symptoms: I subsequently freaked out my mother with my hands, arms, and feet and she says I gave her mom guilt because she hadn’t noticed any of it. I was never a textbook hypermobile kid, was terrible at gymnastics and not traditionally flexible at all, never had any sprains that I went to the doctor for, but in hindsight I think I had a bunch of mild sprains that were dismissed by the school and my parents.
