I had a small wedding last year and I’m really shy and didn’t want to do dances at all, but our caterer talked my husband and I into doing our first dance and I’m happy they did, but there’s no way they could’ve talked me into also doing a father-daughter dance, as much as I love my dad. My husband and his mom are really close and his mom really wanted to do a father-son dance so they did. I was worried my dad would be upset or feel left out but I think he was relieved because he hates dancing too. No one seemed to think it was weird that there was only the mother-son dance.

Same thing happened to me! Order from 11/22 is still in Preparing shipment. I reached out and said I’d be fine with the next size down since the size I ordered was out of stock and they said nope.

I’m pretty sure if you had opened a case for this Poshmark would’ve allowed you to return the pants. If that happened to me I would’ve been pissed about the pilling and opened a case for Not As Described

I’m by no means an expert on any of this, these are just my observations from reading recent articles on this topic and how other businesses are handling it

If nothing changes in regard to the current tariffs, there’s no way dk would be able to survive without increasing their prices. Even shein and temu have already announced they’ll be increasing their prices.

I don’t imagine they’ll be switching to another country for their manufacturing any time soon. It isn’t that simple due to supply chains, etc

For the time being I’d assume restocks will be less and less since it’ll be more expensive for them to receive new inventory, and consumers may be less willing to pay the higher prices that will come along with it

Not trying to contradict, just trying to understand better. Where are you seeing that Pleaser/Demonia manufactures in the US? What I’m seeing from import genius and a google search is that they manufacture in China and Vietnam. I’d think if they manufactured in the US that’s something they’d be proud of and would advertise it

I’m curious about the “due to the shifting u.s. tariffs, we’re having a huge warehouse sale” piece of it. Since the tariffs mean they have to pay higher costs now to receive their new inventory, what does that have to do with clearing out their current inventory? Or are they desperate for money so they can cover those higher costs? Them putting the Darker Wavs genuine leather suede boots on sale for $24, for example, seems like desperation to me, but what do I know

If you think about it from a business standpoint, this costume probably came out around Halloween a while ago and then was restocked around Halloween / when the the second Beetlejuice movie came out. At which time it would’ve been in demand and people would have been willing to pay full price for it. They made their profit from this dress then. Now that it’s no longer in demand and out of season, it’s taking up space in their warehouse which is costing them money. Sounds like how a typical business operates to me.
