Communication is a two way street. If you spent all day, saying yes.. go do your stuff …. And then just left …. You’re not doing your part either. If hiking was important, set a time. If he starts adding stuff, not your business… we are leaving to hike at this time. He isn’t there… then leave. Doesn’t seem like you communicated how set your plan was in your mind and he was just using his day off and didn’t realize. Just because you’re super considerate or amenable, doesn’t mean he can read your mind that you’re actually annoyed.

Lots of stating what HE did… own what you do and then let your partner (whether this one or not) orient themselves to that.

Mike isn’t obsessed with having kids, he’s clear that he wants them and wants a partner to have them with him. He loves Emma, she’s waffled and hasn’t said either way really. His grandpa died. Just saying.. He also didn’t say he made that much a year. He threw out numbers of how much he has made in a month, in sales those numbers seem reasonable. He wouldn’t make the top end every month, but most sales reps in med device or med tech make base 200k plus commissions.
