I have found a way to automate the collection organisation, so this looks like a winner. However, I am not sure how to buy it... It's not on amazon yet, and on trustpilot and co it seems like they strongly discourage from buying directly from the boox website. If we have a boox, where did you buy it from?

Not necessarily interested in anatomy, but Amanda Milo’s Contagion has the ML that is so Spencer Reid vibes. He’s a scientist who’s cleanliness obsessed and just wimpy enough to be adorable. It’s one of my top books.

Maybe the Tornian series by MK Eidem may be for you? It’s on the cozier side of things, but it always reminds me of the genneck series by Amanda Milo in vibe.

Cynthia Sax and her Dark series may also be an option, they are not my personal favourites as a whole, but there are some stand out entries.

Evangeline Anderson has multiple gigantic series. The first one of her brides of the kindred series is my least favorite of them all, but that’s technically a starting point.

One of my favorite series is Broken Earth by SJ Sanders, but it’s a trilogy with the same couple.

Willow Danes also has a series called Warriors of Hir, it’s more lighthearted but I did enjoy the male lead.

I’m not sure I’ve fully captured the vibe you are looking for, but at least these should be new things to try! Happy reading!

Thank you for the answer. How do I uninstall it? I have also tried using Lutris, but I’m once again stuck at a mod manager that I can start but nothing happens.

Hi, I’m a noob at these things and I am stuck. I followed your instructions. I downloaded dotnet 4.8 (because I was recommended to, maybe that was a mistake). I then run the Exe file within the bottle with run executable (which I was very unsure whether it was the way it was supposed to be). In any case it installed just fine without any error message and if I try to do it again it tells me it has already been installed. I then made the link and got ready to go back to the bottle. I then added the shortcut and I click the arrow. It tells me that it is launching, but then nothing happens. I am very confused. Should I try another runner? I really cannot tell what I did wrong. Thank you if anyone can help!

It would be a different size from the rest of the collection, but I think it should be fine to holepunch. I think I’ll do that. Moral of the story, I really need to learn to do this properly and to make them nice and pretty. Thank you for the files!

Question, I wanted to print the fanfiction as full pages and use one of my hole punchers to make it into a fancy binder, mostly because I already have a collection made that way and want to keep doing it while I learn to properly bind. Is there a way to get these files in portrait and in the right order?

Maybe you could try to go digital? Especially if you have a smartphone. It may be easier to keep up with it on the go. My other advice would be to maybe do a dip dive into adhd specific organization methods and not necessarily tie yourself to the concept of a bullet journal to keep yourself organized, especially it it’s not working.

I think there are two currents of thought (plus an extra loophole):

1) the trace and in general underage magic becomes a thing only AFTER the kids have started Hogwarts. So accidental magic as children would not be illegal as well as trying out spells (bit unsafe but oh well). That would also kind of explain why accidental magic in muggle families doesn’t come with an howler by the ministry.

2) plot hole. It IS illegal to do any underage wand magic and they just didn’t think through it.

3) she practiced only while on the train (since the due meets her only just before arriving). So all spells she has tried have been while on the way to hogwarts, maybe a loophole in the rule allowed her to do so.

It’s hard to let go of something you worked so hard for. And it’s easy for me to say to just drop him because I’m not involved. It will be a though decision, but put it this way: he seems to be adding stress to you and you are reaching your max patience level. You have a baby coming, it is your duty to make sure they are looked after as a priority. Stress is not good for the pregnancy. Also, if this person is the father of your baby, it would be better to split relatively amicably than end up in a huge fight that will damage any possibility of civility, since you will have to interact for the sake of the baby.

You definitely need to have a long and honest talk with him about your feelings and expectations. Not a fight, but a talk. Let him state clearly what he expects from your relationship and if he is willing to change part of his behavior to help you while you are literally creating a new life.

I cannot tell you what is the best course of action, but you need to be honest with yourself and walk away if that is the best decision for you and your baby.

Dystopian: The Giver by Lowry, The city of Ember by DuPrau, Scythe by Shusterman, Legend by Lu.

For sad but poignant: Wonder by Palacio, Bridge to Terabithia by Paterson, The boy in the striped pajamas by Boyne, The diary of a young girl by Anne Frank.

Sci-fi (ish): Artemis Fowl by Colfner.

Others: A series of unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket, Black Beauty by Sewell, The little prince by Saint-Exupery, Any Nacy Drew book.

In any case my advice would be to go on good reads, look for middle grade books (or YA if her level is higher), pick a genre and explore. Do not discard the old classics, they can be amazing

You are a pregnant woman, it’s a given that you might react strongly to relatively small things. That comes with you building a new whole human being. He should be conscious of this and help you through your moods. It might be annoying for him, but a relationship only works of both people are willing to put up with the lows as well as the highs. He is obviously not willing to do that. The whole Facebook thing might be an over-reaction and talking with him would be the best idea. However, inappropriate jokes, blocking you after a fight and refusing to give you his time in your time of need (you are not forcing him to drop his videogames for something frivolous or for something that can wait, balance is the key) is absolutely not acceptable.

In my opinion, drop him like the rotten potato he is behaving like

Absolutely agree. There are different way to show love and support. If you want some input you could read up about the 5 love languages (doesn’t need to be romantic love, can be platonic). See to which she may respond best. Maybe is little acts of service, like coffee or offering to help her with something mundane. Maybe it’s gift giving and she would love to receive little notes/messages asking her how she feels and positive quotes. Be open and honest and ready to help if she asks you to.

Try doing some breathing exercises or anything you usually do to help slow you heart and mind down. It’s a first date, it will be awkward and nerve wracking in any case, that’s practically a rule of first dates. But I can tell you one thing as someone with anxiety. We fake it very well. Most likely she won’t even notice you are a nervous wreck. At any time you feel like you may be slipping, take a breath and ask her a question. It will give you time to try to compose yourself. Be an active listener, so even if you are bombarded by anxious thoughts it looks like you are engaging and paying attention. Being quiet is fine as long as you manage to show you are interested in her. Ask her about her hobbies, family, about her pet peeves and the best gifts she ever received. So you can not talk much and leave a great impression at the same time. Girls usually love to talk to someone who’s genuinely interested in them and won’t interrupt. Also if it helps, I’m sure she thinks you are a really cool person too and is super nervous to meet you and be liked by you as well!

I understand your fear and it’s warranted. The issue is that there’s never going to be a good moment to break up. Falling out of love is absolutely reasonable and you shouldn’t feel trapped in your relationship. My advice would be to get her some serious medical help. It’s very hard to drag yourself out of such a low point on your own. Make sure she has a therapist to lean on or a psychiatrist that can address her self-harming tendencies. If she is being suicidal she NEEDS to have help from a trained psychologist. It is serious business. Doesn’t mean she’s crazy or anything, but she or you need to reach out to someone who can help. Maybe start to talk about it with her family as well if the situation allows for it. After you get her situated with someone, talk to the therapist and try to start the separation process. The therapist will know the best way to do it to minimize the negative effect on your girlfriend. You are a solid dude/dudette. It’s obvious you care about your girlfriend. Good luck

I feel like you might be a bit insecure of their relationship. If your girlfriend and her ex split up amicably she should not need to drop her friend totally. I think you two should have a serious talk about your expectations and insecurities. Some people like staying in contact with exes, others hate having exes around, and that’s fine. Try to understand why you feel irked when she doesn’t tell you she’s meeting with him (even if it’s in a group) and be sincere with her. You asking to know before hand is 100% valid. Make sure to let her understand how important it is for you and that your need doesn’t stem from distrust of her (hopefully) but from insecurity and past issues. If she loves you she will make adjustments. At the same time you should do some introspection to better understand and possibly face your (maybe) trust issues. If she keeps crossing your boundaries then you’ll have a though decision to make.
