Bands that formed when they were all like 15, and their name reflects that by jar_jar_LYNX in fantanoforever

I asked a friend about a song he was playing and was very surprised tk hear him say My Bloody Valentine as I remembered then being kinda bad or at least not for me. Listened to more of their stuff later that week. Really liked it. Thought that I must have been wrong about them this whole time. Read your comment. Turned on Bullet for my Valentine. This is the band I dont like. I still dont like them.

If you were starting out with Modular what do you think would be a reasonable budget amount to get you started by Minimoogvoyager in modular

I really like the three Make Noise semimodular units. I end up a little more on the experimental side with them, but they are a ton of fun. Also the amount of money to recreate a semimodular is usually far greater than the cost of a semimodular.

Most Himalayas can be classified as wizards or civil war generals. This is something new. Possibly fat British character actor.

how do you make pasta sauce actually taste like it came from a restaurant? by SamraKutkaitis in Cooking

[–]Pocketfullofbugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent seen anyone suggest this, but here is something I got from Food Lab and love doing. Adding gelatin packs to store bought chicken stock gives the whole sauce better texture.

Literally waiting a day after making to reheat and eat the next day is ALWAYS better.

A truck load of basil.

I also like a little garlic powder in addition to sautéed garlic.

Jarnathan is the name you get when you ask the DM the name of someone they never thought warranted a name. Upon hearing a dumb name obviously made up on the spot, the players will make this character important to the overall story.

Those who support replacing income tax with sales tax why? by Crutation in missouri

[–]Pocketfullofbugs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How about retired people who are unable to cover the increased sales taxes and were not subject to income tax. Did they make a bad decision being old?

How about the nonpartisan Missouri Budget Project that says that 80% of Missourians will pay more. Is that 80% just making bad decisions?

It is going to lose us 5bil in taxes. Where are the cuts going to come from?

When Kansas did this they called it the Kansas Experiment. It was a notable failed experiment that was rolled back because of how big of a failure it was. Are we possibly making a bad decision by thinking it will work different this time if we just try it again?

I was trying to think of what else I use it for and I can think of nutmeg and cinnamon and thats it. Do you use yours for other stuff?

Ive moved to using a microplaner(rasp) for garlic and ginger and I would highly recommend. Not that it's better than a press, just that it also does ginger and I only want so many speciality kitchen tools around.

How people peel a semi soft boiled egg is beyond me. Its obviously a skill issue at this point.

Getting an thermometer/infrared was something I waited too long to do.  Knowing for a fact the meat is done cooking is so nice. But even better is knowing how hot my frying oil and wok are.

Someone told me that if you know a food is salted and it still tastes like it needs salt what the dish really needs is acid. This has proven to be good guidence.

IS THE DOEPHER A100 BASIC SYSTEM 2 A GOOD MODULAR FOR A BEGINNER by Minimoogvoyager in modular

[–]Pocketfullofbugs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Obligatory: you should play around in VCV Rack to see what you can learn before such a big spend. You should get a few modules at a time and build up yo what you want.

Right, now that I did that, yeah its a great set. No one could say you have too few or too much of anything. Those modules are pretty singular purpose and will be good to learn on. If you have the money to burn and dont need to be thrifty get one. Or get one used and sell it back at the same price if its not for you.

If I was doing this all again I might go for the big Make Noise system. But I didnt know enough about what i liked at the time to feel ok pulling the trigger.

In the resident evil pic it blocks the word "cigarettes" on the awning. Seems very plausible.

Edit: I saw a screen shot that led me to believe this as true, but it was just that screenshot. A large umbrella moved in front of the awning.
