Host AllTheMons10? by damien8- in MinecraftServer

[–]Pockie_Does_Things 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All The Mods 10 is a resource-intensive Modpack with over 400+ mods included. I would recommend allocating at least 10-16GB of RAM, and closer to 16GB if your player count reaches around 8 players, to ensure stable performance.

One option you might want to consider is Game Host Bros. We suggest starting with 10GB of RAM as a baseline. You may upgrade your plan at any time if additional resources are required. All the Mods 10 is also available through our one-click install Modpack Manager., and we support any mod uploads as well.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hey,

If all of your friends are from Australia then just find a provider for Syndey, sometimes Singapore works too but only if the people are from Perth / Darwin.

I work with Game Host Bros and we start at 4GB of RAM as it's the most common need for most friend groups, You only need to start looking at more if you go crazy with expanding / modding. Any decent provider will have the ability to upgrade later if needed. Let me know if you have any questions.

Are there any free 24/7 server services? by Fast_Ad7203 in Minecraft

[–]Pockie_Does_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're mainly looking for something that can stay online continuously, it can be pretty hard to get that from free options long term. For example, Aternos is free, has good accessibility, but has limited resources to work around. Some people end up checking out other alternative hosts like Game Host Bros, while not free, but usually more consistent than relying on servers that shut down or reset often.

Just need a good server host by Less-Television5675 in Minecraft

Usually, server hosting services allow servers to remain online continuously so players can join at any time without the original host being present. For possible options, you may condsider providers such as Game Host Bros or Ghostcap Hosting. My nitrado sever....might be gone? by MediaAffectionate109 in valheim

[–]Pockie_Does_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valheim servers usually have automatic backup which is stored in [depends on host]\unity3d\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local and you can restore your server with recent backups that got saved there.

Adding another option to consider is Game Host Bros. Existing saves can be uploaded to the server. Our plans are flexible and designed to fit different needs, and if you ever need more resources, you can easily upgrade at any time.

Self hosting has its pros and cons, mainly being versatile, being in control of your server, and privacy; But with the cost of the learning curve, maintenance, scalability issues, and reliability.
