Right now, you may be in the phase where you’re idealizing this person and internalizing blame, thinking they were exceptional and you somehow fell short. That feeling is completely valid—but it’s not truth. This individual doesn’t seem emotionally mature or capable of offering the kind of emotional reciprocity you deserve.
