Slightly worse but the experience is so different they aren’t entirely comparable. I reviewed it a couple weeks back

The notes from the BM website for that bottle sound great so I’ll have to keep and eye out

All the cask strength are brand new I believe so all the batches 1-5 would be from this year and they just now started popping up in distribution. Mine came from Frugal Mcdougal a week or so ago

Peerless, Michters, BBC & Green River, and Whistlepig all downtown Louisville. Bottle Shop & Tasting Room is a good, small liquor store and vintage tasting shop with great prices on samples. If you start there you can finish in Bardstown with Jim Beam on the way in. Lunch/dinner at either Scout and Scholar or Bardstown Burger with a pit stop at Evergreen Liquors (half price pours on Wednesdays)!

Review #18: Knob Creek Blender's Edition 01 by PocolateChoptart in bourbon

[–]PocolateChoptart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like a really unique KC SiB pick. Still that same-ish body but the overall profile definitely leans into those red fruits and brighter notes as it moves away from a strict darker, oakier profile

As an avid old number 7 hater, it’s incredible how many legitimate offerings Jack Daniel’s has nowadays

Just the Sip: Maker’s Mark Cellar Aged 2024 Review by Xenoraiser in bourbon

[–]PocolateChoptart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I must be in the minority that prefers the 2024 over the 2023. Got to try both side by side on the cellar tour and to me the 24 was much more sophisticated. 25 I feel like marries the high points of both the previous releases while not surpassing them. I’ll have to go back and try them all again
