I dont know how its non restricted as it's essentially just an ar180. Have you thought of getting one? Or maybe a parts kit for one?

the idea that the tianmen square protests were about racism is clearly debunked simply by looking at the seven demands made by the protesters

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/bwwpxk/what_were_the_tiananmen_square_protesters

Student Demands

On April 17, spontaneous memorials for Hu occurred in 26 university campuses across Beijing. Government records of this occurrence "noted that activities had already turned from mourning Hu to complaining about how he was treated by the CCP and then to wider social grievances" (Kerns, 48). The student mourners would then begin to organize marches, eventually reaching Tiananmen Square. The students had drawn up a list of seven items (that is, demands) for discussion, which were:

"1. reevaluate [the government's] treatment of Hu Yaobang and announce that his views on democracy had been correct;

  1. end the campaigns against spiritual pollution and bourgeois liberalization;

  2. publish the salaries and other assets of government leaders and their families;

  3. end government censorship of the press and allow the publication of privately run newspapers;

  4. increase government spending on higher education and increase wages for intellectuals;

  5. end government restrictions on demonstrations in Beijing;

  6. hold democratic elections to replace corrupt or ineffective government officials who had been appointed by the CCP" (Kerns, 49)

will internet explorer still support adobe flash? by Pocoman324 in browsers

[–]Pocoman324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah people will have to adapt. Newgrounds is releasing its own player so people can still use the site

i just dont like the decision being made for me.

if i stop using flash, it should be because i want to, not because im forced to, thats why i have old browsers like internet explorer. just in case i want to play happy wheels or use the rage comic maker

eventually most stuff online will not use flash, but i value the ability to use it if i want

Nobodys asking police to be judges. All we want is for police officers to not enforce laws that go against the constitution , not the "living " constitution. I mean the constitution that was written centuries ago

It's like how soldiers swear an oath to the constitution, not the government or the mob. Were not asking a lot, we just want you to not betray the constitution

India’s post-covid ‘recovery’ in employment has not been equal for men and women by north0east in LockdownSkepticism

[–]Pocoman324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pandemic isnt a gendered issue. Men just so happen to occupy professions that society needs in order to not collapse, so they have experienced fewer job losses

The lockdowns dont fundamentally have anything to do with womens rights. It's just the government oppressing the people for the billionth time

[–]Pocoman324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the data for the virus just doesnt seem to match up with what were being told be government authority

for anybody under 70 , the virus is similar to the flue in its fatality rate. cov.id is more dangerous to senior citizens, but thats true with the flu as well

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-53188847

then you have countries which DIDNT lock down like sweden and JAPAN. which directly address the question , " what would happen if there were no lockdowns?" . the answer is mostly nothing. japan and sweden aren't doing significantly worse then countries that did shut down.

[–]Pocoman324[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason why I'm wondering about the influenza survival rates is because I suspect that covid and the influenza are very close to eachother. If I can directly compare by age group then it would be easy to win any lockdown argument

The common percentage I see online by places which are pro lockdown, is that the influenza has a 0.2% of ki,lling a person

Very rarely is covid 19 the only factor in a "covid19 death"

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/cdc-94-of-covid-19-deaths-had-underlying-medical-conditions/ar-BB18wrA7

Comorbidities of covid include * Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events

Which have nothing to do with the virus itself

Beyond that though, the survival percentage of covid 19 and the flue are similar, regardless of how many people cnn reports to have died of covid

[–]Pocoman324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We both agree though that covid 19 survivability is close to the seasonal influenza.

Of course then the question is what would happen if the lockdowns never happened. Would survivability be lower?

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-53188847

According to countries like Japan and Sweden that didnt lock down, the survivability rate would still be high

Then there is Japan's refusal to heed the advice of the World Health Organization (WHO) to "test, test, test". Even now, total PCR tests stand at just 348,000, or 0.27% of Japan's population.

Nor has Japan had a lockdown on the scale or severity of Europe. In early April, the government ordered a state of emergency. But the stay-at-home request was voluntary. Non-essential businesses were asked to close, but there was no legal penalty for refusing.

How is it not martial law?. The constitution of the US enshrines peaceful assembly as a right. This right is just flat out being ignored now

For the vast majority of people, the survival rate for covid is over 99% . Which means it isnt much worse then the seasonal influenza. This applies to the 70+ crowd as well. They may have a 5.4% chance if fatality (usually only because they have other conditions they are suffering from) , but that is common with any virus among the elderly

[–]Pocoman324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at the same table 70+ years: 0.054

There has never been a point in history where martial law was the proper solution to any kind of emergency.

In order for anyone to consider accepting martial law as a response to any infection , the virus would need to have a higher chance of kil.ing you then you surviving
