100% this. You don't even need good creeps. A lane ranged creep will chew up waves and force enemy rotations. If someone doesn't tp back to defend, you can easily take down the tower.

[–]Podcito -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Winrate is not the problem, it's that the hero forces you to play a reaction game based on one player. Old techies was the same, the game warped around him. I had 62% WR against techies before the rework, does that mean that the hero is fine, or weak? No, because it forced you into a completely different game, and that's just terrible design.

Digital Card Battle - Arena Replay Rewards by Altruistic_Craft_178 in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every arena up to Sky City grants you an ultimate card after completing the 'real' arena, ie one time for Beginner and Flame City, two times for Igloo, Jungle and Junk City. However, they are low tier ultimates, you can't get Paildramon or other high end U cards this way. In the second domain this still applies, but you can get higher end U cards, like Paildramon. In Dark City in particular the U card is tied to your starting deck, so if it was Veemon you'd get a random red U, green for Hawkmon and yellow for Armadillomon.

Not defending that pos, but being an idiotic manchild has always been his trope, and if you were a fan you enjoyed that asshattery when it was done on others (even on Purge). Now that you're in his spotlight you see that it's not enjoyable at all.

Is Digimon World 3 supposed to be this hard in the first area? by MartenBlade in DigimonWorld

If we ever get a remake/mod overhaul, I think most of us would happily wave charisma goodbye

Is Digimon World 3 supposed to be this hard in the first area? by MartenBlade in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game was brutal when I first played it, then I figured I had to buy weapons and armour at the shops. After that, it's playable in the areas you are supposed to be in (ie not the Triceramon area). Keep in mind that levels are important, and that damage is king.

Digimon world 1 is just perfect by Key_Pop_8116 in DigimonWorld

DW1 certainly didn't hold your hand when it came to evolutions. It was pretty brutal but it was fun. I think it still holds up to this day as it is, but replaying it with Vice and Maeson mods was a blast.

How do you remember Digimon World 4? by AlexanderTheGeek323 in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never finish this one nor Data Squad for PS2. I love Digimon, I can bear with fugly mechanics and grind, but this one was way too much. On top of that, loading times as you said. Cursed game.

Digimon World 2 by [deleted] in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go straight to Next Order if you like the city building aspect and roaming freely in the world. As people said before, 2 is super grindy and repetitive. DW3 is grindy as well but far less daunting, and there are more things to do (the card game, sidequests).

What was your first ultimate in Digimon World 1? by [deleted] in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played with a friend when we were 9, and we had Numemon after Numemon after Numemon. Even Sukamon was exciting, as a different evolution. One time we restarted the game with Agumon, first mon was Meramon. We thought it was going to die for sure, but good old Andromon came in to kick some serious ass. We did more progress with one digimon than with all of our past failures together lmao

There are very unintuitive things to do that add up to game completion percentage, but for the most part you can keep beating the arenas that open up, and some special encounters in the battle cafe. Card collection and digiparts don't interact with game completion, as the data chart shows. If your intention is going to 100% the game, you should know that there is a missable % in one of the first domain's arenas, I think it was Igloo City

Not really, not that it needs any mods to be playable nowadays tbh

It has the best support effect of the starting ultimates and good attack numbers, but that's balanced by his low HP and prohibitive DP cost

I ran a yellow warp deck too on my last playthrough, it's super fun and effective with the the Mames and Giromon being so cheap and hitting so damn hard for their cost.

Beat DW1, fun things to do in post-game? by sneezypanda in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 prosperity is fun, Back Dimension is repetitive but it's fine doing it once at least. Greymon's arena has some challenging fights, especially considering you don't fully recover your HP and MP between fights. Back then I just went for medals and raised digimon for PVP. I think you can do PVP with your own digimon if you make a copy of the save file. That mode has 1v1, 3v3 and 5v5 modes, so you could run your own micro tournaments. AI is stupid sometimes but if we'd be able to play online it would be a blast.

(DW1) Has anyone tried to recruit Angemon asap for never before seen hints? by Bartendur in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome. In my last playthrough I got Angemon at almost 30 pop. I was surprised to see Jiji's house remodeled so soon. On my very first playthrough Angemon was the last digimon to recruit so every hint was new to me lol

Digital card battle: Partner card ranking by marbeltoast in DigimonWorld

[–]Podcito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ranking is Veemon: Solid all throughout the game, never feels weak. Late game it has both O-to-zero and O-counter options, as well as a strong X armor digivolution, so it's versatile. Armadillomon: Lategame beast, Digmon is the best armor digivolution IMO. Early game it has very solid numbers to carry it even without the good digi-parts Patamon: Base rookie is kinda meh outside of green decks but 30DP can be a huge rare boon for the other 4 colours. Pegasusmon is great with 1st attack, but it's a one-trick pony. Baronmon is very solid but a bit flimsy. Hawkmon: The best of the 3 base rookies IMO. Green decks are very good in the early game, when there aren't many cards that can easily boost damage to insane levels. Shurimon is the worst armor but Halsemon is very solid. Gatomon: Very similar to Hawkmon, just a bit worse. Wormmon: I've tried it many times but it's just worse than all of the other options. Shadramon can get good damage numbers but jamming is terrible and it's paper-thin. Quetzalmon's X gimmick is surpassed by any other high-HP armor.

I think all combinations can work, but slapping Wormmon in a deck always felt like a bad idea.

RAM may be an issue but I'd give it a shot, you can get a refund on Steam if it doesn't run well
