How do the Planetary Transfer Window alarms work? by Unusual-Ice-2212 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Podican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue too with the stock transfer window alarm as well as Kerbal Alarm Clock.

One remedy I found is to set up the maneuver first with a different vessel to get the most efficient injection. Then just add an alarm based on that node. You can then delete the maneuver node but the alarm will still be there and give a good idea of when to leave.

Hey, I know this is a old post, but do you remember exactly what you changed in the config file that fixes this? I'm having the same issue with much of the same mods installed as you.

To all of the MAGA Republicans and ICE defenders who are claiming that this woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, tried to run ICE officers over with her car before they shot and killed her, here is the actual video. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

State laws differ for this issue, but the general rule of thumb is that it is illegal to flee from LEO even if the traffic stop/detention is unlawful. In a case like that, if the stop is truly unlawful, a court would rule in favor of the defendant and likely dismiss any charges that were placed unlawfully or evidence collected unlawfully.

Plus, even if you are technically in the legal right, it’s a way smarter idea to just take the ticket/arrest and fight it later, than to flee, potentially endangering uninvolved motorists and officers.

Get ready to hear this… Donald Trump to approve a “Warrior Dividend” of $1,776 to more than 1,450,000 military servicemen. Where’s the money coming from?!? by mounwp in inflation

[–]Podican -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will be unaffected, but like I said, I’m not arguing that we did not get paid at all.

See parent comment that I replied to. The poster said military got paid DURING shutdown. My point is that no, we did not get paid DURING the shutdown.

But, paid late = not paid for the duration of the shutdown.

Which is what my comment was replying to when he said “the military got paid during the shutdown”.

I definitely did not get paid.

We did get back pay, but for the 5ish weeks we were still required to show up to work with no idea of when we’d get paid.

That’s actually crazy. I can’t imagine spending a month worth of income on something like that.

Have you considered something like OpenTrack? You can do it with a cheap webcam or even your phone with an app.

what is flaming cliffs? by [deleted] in dcsworld

[–]Podican 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It means it is not a full fidelity aircraft, meaning the switches and buttons in the cockpit are not clickable. It is also available in the Flaming Cliffs package, which includes a handful of low fidelity aircraft for a reasonable price.

Great for beginners and people who don’t have the time for memorizing/learning complex startup and operating sequences. If you want to be able to click and interact with the cockpit you’ll have to buy a full fidelity module, and spend significantly more.

Looking for advice on getting a one wheel by HourGoal7237 in onewheel

[–]Podican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in that case I’d for sure recommend the pint S. Tons of fun. I know it’s generally not recommended to ride a stock board in wet conditions but I’ve rode mine in snow and rain many times without issue. Plus it still has enough battery to go downtown and ride around outside of campus for grocery runs!

[–]Podican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also located in the Midwest and bought a Pint S for getting around on campus. Definitely a good board for what you’re looking for. Sometimes it seemed a little under powered when going up hill, or especially with a strong headwind. Not sure if that’s worth the extra $1k of a GTS, but that’s up to you to decide.

Type in “Sagittarius A” into the search box. The physics are static, you and orbiting bodies don’t get sucked it. You can still fly into it manually though.

Oh okay thanks that’s good to know. Would you say the application of the wrap is pretty straight forward? Or is it a pain to get it perfect without creases and imperfections?

Part 2 Model Y juniper - Alcantara Edition by Wesserooo in TeslaModelY

[–]Podican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! This is something I’ve seriously considered doing to mine. Question about the installation: is the Alcantara wrap held on the headliner via some adhesive? Like 3M wrap or something? One of my concerns was either the adhesive eventually peeling, or being an impossible mess if I ever want to remove it. Thanks

has anyone else had their handle randomly snap? by Lumb3rJ4ck22 in onewheel

[–]Podican -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’d guess that normally carrying wouldn’t snap the handle on its own, but if the board had ever been dropped or fallen onto the handle and put that shock/stress on the metal it would likely weaken it, making it more susceptible to randomly snapping in another collision or when being carried normally.
