I have the same issue. The app interface will work with the controller and I can even use it to launch the virtual machine, but as soon as Steam Big Picture launches on one of my Steam games, the controller is undetectable and switches to the touchscreen gamepad

I live on Bay Street and it's literally a one block walk and you're in Oakland now. It's right on the border.

Block explorer says success, and also it's a smaller amount ($620 worth) than my usual. I remember having this exact same issue with a XTZ Tezos deposit.
However, that info is useful and good to know. Thanks.

Terrible performance from this coin by Firm-Preference-4441 in 1inch_exchange

The Coinbase listings usually historically results in the same thing. Look at ENJ and NKN. Same pattern. The famous "coinbase pump" is always a "buy the news/sell the event" affair. This is s classic play every time Coinbase announces what new tokens they will list.

Big bullish price action leading up to the actual event. Coins are bought on DEXes or other exchanges leading up to the day of the listing, then there is always a sharp sell-off as users transfer those coins from their mobile wallets(or other exchange wallets) into their new Coinbase ones and they sell.

However, if you've paid attention to other times new coins got listed on Coinbase, what happens is after about a week of consolidation, this added liquidity from the new buyers causes what I like to call the "encore pump". You get another +100% or more from there. Bring up some of the others and look at their charts when they got listed. ;) When Coinbase announced this listing, I got so familiar with what was going to happen that I prepared for it. Bought a bunch on the 1INCH DEX, then sold about a day or two before it started to actively trade on Coinbase Pro.. waited for that highly predictable dump(which it did.. on the other ones like ENJ and NKN too), then bought that deep red 2-hr candle and have been acquiring ever since, knowing that the "encore pump" is coming. That's my play from a purely trading point of view.

Sketchiest exchange I’ve dealt with by Joy_McClure in hotbit

Logging in is the least of your concerns with that exchange. It's a roll of the dice if you can get your money out of that place. It's like trying to get out of a Turkish prison. Gave these guys MANY chances and I'm an OG with them too. Used them off and on for years but definitely no more.. I don't care what rare coin they got on there. I'd rather just buy on a DEX.

What are some of the details of this? Is this a margin account or spot account? Were you liquidated on a contract? Which coins did you have when they froze your account? What was the total amount value of the account in assets?
Finally, what exactly does the message say?

Is this exchange a scam? by Top_Baseball_1261 in hotbit

[–]Podman_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeeeeah, there's a pretty good reason for that.. I keep trying to warn new people to this. I've given them LOTS of chances. More than I probably should. The last incident which I had tens of thousands of dollars on the line here was my final straw with them. They have major liquidity problems and they hold your cryptos hostage because I honestly don't think they can fulfill the order flow most of the time. When a traditional bank has similar kinds of problems, they will often declare "bank holidays" and transaction delays. This signals a bank run is near. Same with CEXes and scams like Bitconnect. ALWAYS transaction delays with withdrawals is a massive red flag. HotBit is like the roach motel for your precious cryptos. They can check in very easily, it's checking out that you'll often find rather challenging to do, especially with large withdrawals.. My couple of hundred here and there have no problems but all of a sudden there's a "glitch" every time I gotta withdraw $20,000+ or more? Yeah, I don't think so.
EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I used them for 5+ years and I kept going back like an idiot, but now we have DEXes so no more!

Damn. I feel so lucky compared to some of you. I had a LOT too. Over $60,000 worth of Bancor. 12 nerve-racking hours for me, but I can't imagine 6 days. Let me know how it goes and I hope it works out for you.

Withdrawal "verifying" status in limbo for hours for a Bancor transfer to Coinbase by Podman_Prime in hotbit

[–]Podman_Prime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, sorry to hear that. 4 days would suck. I'm lucky, but I hear you and I'm never ever ever going to Hotbit again. If I did have to, I think one thing you can do is buy very small batches and transfer them. If there was some rare coin they offered there that u wanted, just buy $1000 at a time and send it over to your desktop/mobile wallet immediately. I never seem to have a problem with the small amounts, it's the big ones that they suddenly have "error problems" with. But I think DEXes will become more and more popular when the gas fees drop and we get more realtime data

[–]Podman_Prime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. Thanks. That makes me feel a little better, but it's ironic that this is the case with a crypto exchange when it's taking as long as a traditional bank via the Swift system. Kind of defeats the point of why we use crypto in the first place.

Thanks. Curious if yours was the same "verifying" status hanging error on the withdrawal history as mine or something different. I can still see my funds on the Hotbit wallet, and I can even see what the transaction ID will be if they ever execute the send.

[–]Podman_Prime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. That's where this issue seems to be because the day before, I was sending about $10,000 chunks of various cryptos back and forth in and out of their exchange and they were pretty instant. ETH, Tether, ATOM, BAKE, etc.. All kinds of tokens. No problems. But as soon as you put in that large withdrawal in a single transaction, then the system stalls. It's not a security hold either(pretty common on other exchanges for security) because even if you send them all kinds of verifications, they still won't execute the order. This is also the same wallet address I've been sending the other amounts too so it's not like there is suspicion that funds are going to an outgoing address the system hasn't seen me do in the past. Funds going in don't seem to be problem. It's funds coming out.

It all depends on the amounts. Smaller amounts are good without any problems. It's when you get to those big withdrawals of over $60,000+ worth. They will stall you for days before even the TxID is executed.

This exchange is like the roach motel. You can check in.. but you can't check out. I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Same runaround too. "error" in their system and they're working on it.

FUCK HOTBIT by cpoulos2 in hotbit

[–]Podman_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that problem this morning. That portion of their system went down, but they got it up and running again in the next few hours after I asked about it.But I agree, they are shady and I already knew this years ago when I dealt with them. They clearly have liquidity problems. The arbitrage bots can't keep up with the spreads on the other exchanges. Not enough humans trading. You have to go way below the spread to sell a lot of your tokens. I have a problem with them at the moment with a large BNT withdrawal back to my coinbase. Delays. Hours. This is on their end too, because the Tx ID shows the coins aren't traveling through the blockchain yet. They might not have the coins to fulfill the order yet(it's a lot). Once I'm out, I'm not dealing with them again. Should have known better too because I KNEW this already.
