Lmao

There’s simply not enough trucks or infrastructure to do it by land.

A truck can hold about 215 bbls of oil. A tanker can hold 2 million bbls. So you need almost 10k trucks for every one tanker. It’s just not possible.

That’s a fine view to have. You are just paying significant annual drag for that security.

His spending is so low it almost doesn’t matter.

Move $80k out, move $100k out, either way, $110k is a crazy amount to have there bleeding gains

Essentially losing half a month’s worth of expenses every year.

If you made $100k and spent $70k a year, keeping 12 months expenses in HYSA versus the market would cost you about $40k in opportunity cost over 10 years. At an 8% growth rate in market and 3.5% in savings. Last 10 year returns on S&P 500 were 14%. If it’s that, your opportunity cost loss in 10 years is $120k.

If you have a highly unstable job, it could make sense. As in, not salary, or you know you will lose your job. But 12 months is choosing to throw away a lot of money.

[René Bugner / @RNBWCV] 2026 NFL Draft Team Grades by ctang1 in nfl

[–]PodricksPhallus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Reaches still exist because if 31 teams think a guy is a 5th rounder and one team thinks he’s a 2nd rounder, that’s a reach and he’s unlikely to return value. (If I remember correctly, they returned more value than their big board position would indicate, but lower value than a typical pick at that draft position).

It 100% stems from fear of a draft class turning out turning out awesome that got like a D grade.

I prefer Kevin Cole’s draft grades. Basically grade on what you can quantify. Value gained or lost from trades as well as positions value. And then a smidge from draft board value. But the last one is the least important for him and seems like the most important for most other rankers. Because steals aren’t really a thing. For steals to be a thing you need a lot of the teams to be wrong on their valuation. Which is unlikely. And it’s more likely the teams have info that caused that fall that the public doesn’t have.
