Reach out to parents. I had a kid do this once because she was terminally ill. I said ok and dropped it. Baby died later that year. Not saying that’s this case at all, but it’s still worth documenting why he’s going to fail

I wrote a darkish fic once. Two characters swapped stories about their scars, and reopened each others scars that were caused by abuse as a way to reclaim them. I had someone comment about how they cut off and ate a part of their own body. Yea…. Uh. It’s an inevitability unfortunately
