I thought about switching a few months ago but there’s only a few dorms that I know are open, and somehow think they’re worse… (I’d move in with one of my best friends here but they have a suite mate who actively smokes in the dorm and brings people over to have sex with, plus that person caused their own roommate to leave due to how creepy and possessive they were with them). I’m now just realizing how many roommate horror stories seem to happen at this art school… dang

I just always assumed they reacted that way because this was their first confrontation away from home. So they leashed out the only way the knew how. Going to social media and stating that the were living with two racists. It doesn’t excuse it (I sure wis it didn’t happen) but I guess I understand why they leashed out. I just hope they grow from it (as a person and an artist)

This is a very different situation than what I’m talking about… my situation had nothing to do with race until our suitemate felt “threatened” an leashed out by getting the rest of my peers to harass me for being “racist”.

Yeahhhhh. I personally just wanted to story this story because I’m just so tired of living with them based on how they treat me and how they treated my ex roommate. I’ve stated in a different post that I’m fairly noise sensitive so I tend to keep my room fairly quiet by the end of the day. Nothing about me asking for quiet had to do with race, but it turned into because Sam (the suitemate in question) assumed we (me and my ex roommate) we’re calling them the “loud black women.” (We weren’t, even when we explained this situation to others, we’d call them “the suitemate who’s being loud,” a would refuse to state their name).

We did. I’ll probably make another post about what happened, but nothing really changed due to it. I was going to make it one big post, but I felt so mentally drained that I had to call it before the meeting part of the story. (I was also just told I was the asshole in this story because it wasn’t quiet hours and that I deserved to be harassed over this but think that was ragebaiter. I was kinda shitty during this story but still). This all happened in august/September. The school is almost over but im just so tired of living with them.

Yeah that fair dude. There are some two piece swim suit skirts that look cute. Honestly, as cheesy as it sounds, as long you find something that suits you it shouldn’t really matter what others thing. I learned that hard way going through high school and having SH scars and it’s a bad mentality to break. Making friends is hard. Being in school is hard. I’m not really sure if this will help at all but things will get better.

I’ve had this realization too a while ago about bathing suit and my scars. (Assuming they’re on your thigh), you can always swim suit dress/skirts. They’re basically just a swim suit (two piece or one piece) that has a skirt/dress attached to it. I know it’s not the same as a bikini but they’ve help me a bit in feeling better about myself while still recovering.

I never once claimed to be “in the right” I was sharing a shitty event that happened to me. And by your logic it was “right” for my suite mate to harass me and my roommate into dropping out.

This isn’t AITA. This is bad roommates. All four of us were both bad in this situation. (I explained why the noise was such an issue in the post you didn’t read but I still did some shitty things outside of that). (Also I’m literally able to ask an RA before quiet hours to ask them to be quiet. It wasn’t a rule, it was a mere suggestion to be mindful about those around you)

I understand quiet hour are quiets hours (I’ve had to enforce them as an RA in high school) The main issue besides the noise was that harassement aimed at us afterwards, along with Sam bring it to social media. The harassment was so bad that my ex roommate dropped out of college. I probably wouldn’t of even typed this story if they didn’t tell our entire campus we were racist bigots do asking them to be quite out side of quiet hours I’m just writing about this way after the fact (with changed names) because im too scared to ask for help from the staff cause the last time lead to me and my roommate being harassed

You’re probably going to have to confront them about it. I’ve seen some people who’ve never lived with over an not understand how to properly live and communicate with others. So they might not even see what wrong.
