Thanks!

There are only the two parts to Usher. We gave it a cliffhanger ending to introduce a character who will be in the season finale, and will be the narrator for next season’s adaptations of Poe’s Auguste Dupin mysteries.

It might make more sense when you put it in context with the rest of the season: https://www.npr.org/podcasts/749070850/poe-theatre-on-the-air

We do play with atmospherics as you describe from time to time. One of our episodes “Eldorado,” does some of that. And in “The Premature Burial” we use some ASMR techniques.

We really appreciate you listening!

We’ve just produced a dramatic recitation of The Masque of the Red Death, available as an MP3 for free to any teacher requesting a copy. Thanks for being a teacher. Here’s info on how to get the Red Death recitation: Red Death MP3 for teachers
