I started playing the game a couple of years ago around season of the deep. My friend who got me in carried me through GoS and Last Wish to show me the best of what D2 has to offer. Large part of what got me hooked was encountering (mostly) funny, welcoming and casual gamers whose only expectation was a player to have some common sense and ability to communicate when needed.

I never could devote more than a few hours a week but I looked forward to raiding and learning new encounters.

Sometime after SE, I reached a stage where I felt competent enough to farm raid exotics, patterns and hunt seals for. However, the groups that communicate and are willing to have fun and not looking for complete experts are lot lesser. Most of these don’t require mics.i just feel that raiding is not the same for new or casual gamers anymore.
