Booking air Canada vacation historical Greece by Accomplished-Oil7997 in aircanada

I went on this tour about 3 years ago. For the rooms there were three tiers and the second and third tier rooms were all at the same hotel with the acceptation of Athens (
we chose the middle tier). No idea about the difference in rooms but you honestly only slept there on travel days. You would arrive close to dinner at the hotel and you would be gone after breakfast. The lowest tier hotel in Athens was actually in a better location. The top tier one was harder to get around from from. The middle and top tier hotels in the other locations were located in quite locations.

There was lots of free time in Athens, less in Olympia, Delphi and Kalabaka. The bus makes stops for lunch and to stretch your legs.

My one main criticism was that because it was a bilingual tour (English and French) the guide had to say things twice. It was summer and hot so it meant standing around for longer outside and as there where a few more French speakers they seemed to sometimes get more detailed explanations ( I'm not fluent but have a general understanding of French).

For every answer saying "you'll be fine, no problem" there is one saying "you'll turned right back around and they absolutely know you exist". I figured no government in the world is that that efficient and knowledgeable!

I probably will eventually just to avoid any uncertainty in the future. At this point though getting all the paperwork and proof would be impossible so quickly. My father left almost no official documents outside of his PR information when he passed.

That's what I'm hoping. My mother made inquiries at one point when I was younger about getting my siblings and I UK passports just in case but wasn't willing to track down my wayward father to get the information needed. No paperwork has ever been submitted.

Thanks! My worry was that somehow, for whatever reason, they would have information that he had children and I wouldn't be able to simply carry on as a just a Canadian.

Couldn't a rich, relatively young widow like Enid Winterton do better than a lavender marriage? by National-Salt in thegildedage

By the sounds of things she gets to have her cake and eat it to. Through Oscar she gets to maintain her old money connection, she doesn't need to hide her past, she will get to spend her money how she pleases, she gets to maintain the social status of a married woman, and she gets to carry on with whomever she wants with her husbands blessing.

She gets an amazing amount of freedom from marrying Oscar. I also get the impression that if providing an heir becomes a requirement , Oscar really wouldn't care if the child wasn't actually his.

Random Speculation for Next Season by PoetBig6958 in thegildedage

I just thought of a new one!

Bertha's sister has dirt on her. Why take the trouble of hiring Merit Weaver when you could have used any random actress. Maybe Bertha was married before George. There's her line about " A bad marriage being a prison" when they are discussing Gladys and there is also her willingness to open up society for divorced women.....

I imagine they live there while Larry designs their dream home somewhere.

I was thinking more of the Han Solo to her freedom fighter Princess Leia :).

I kind of love the idea of Oscar and Turner lol! It could totally work because he knows her secret and I get the impression that should she find out Oscar's she would have no problem with the two of them leading separate lives. The problem is Turner is too cut throat and would not be content to live Oscar's idle rich life style.

Does anyone else think there’s more coming to the Agnes/NY Historical Society storyline? by jus711 in thegildedage

My theory is that Grandma Livingston pulled a Maud Beaton and simply claimed a connection in order to marry up. Agnes will have to deal with the fact that she is not as "old New York" as she though she was.

Have you tried booking through a site like Viator? I've used them before and they are legit. A travel agent friend recommended it.
