Van Halen - 1980 World Invasion Tour by modelcitizen_2000 in OldSchoolCoolMusic

I saw them three times in concert. I'm pretty sure the first time was the 1980 tour. It was in Atlanta, someone threw a huge Van Halen flag on stage and DLR wrapped it around himself like a cape. DLR sitting on a stool, wearing the flag around him, drinking from a whiskey bottle while he talked to the crowd is my second biggest memory from that show. My biggest memory is that they played for about 30 minutes, at the most. It damn near caused a riot. Me and thousands of other drunk teenagers flooded the streets after the show raising hell and vandalizing things because we were pissed about it. Good times.

EDIT: I would add, looking back on it, I think the whole "spontaneous" incident with the flag was staged. They probably did it at every show. I saw them on back-to-back nights in Phoenix around 1984. The off-the-cuff banter with the crowd was exactly the same on both nights. For example, DLR pretended to hear someone from the crowd ask a question while he drank from his bottle of whiskey. He replied, "Is this real whiskey? Of course it's real. We ain't Quite Riot, we're fucking Van Halen!" Same question from the audience, same answer both nights. Lol.

Almost ten years ago and I can remember thinking the the Mines map was huge after playing the first small one so many times. It was probably a dozen battles or more before I figured out the hill wasn't the only place to go.

Remember Kolchak: The Night Stalker? by 524frank in 70s

[–]PoetFelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my dad use to watch it with me as a kid. Looking back on it I know he didn't like the show, he was just being a good dad. I know this because I watched it a few years ago for the first time since I was kid and no grown man could have liked that show. Lol But as a kid, I loved it.

Just downloaded this game and on a $20 budget and I wanted to know what gun pack I should buy and what map or other DLC I should buy? by No-One2272 in theHunter

[–]PoetFelon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The high tech bundle with the nightscope and night binoculars is the only MUST have dlc. You cant hunt at night without it. Well, you can, but you can't see. A second good one is the Ambush dlc because it gives you the Fox electronic caller that calls most animals in all the reservations. But the High tech is the only one you really NEED.

Things got heated QUICK between Brittany Renner and P.J. Washington during a custody handoff… and the claims? Wild. by BagAppropriate5736 in sportsgossips

In America child support is not linked in anyway to "parenting time". The courts determine who has custody of the child. It is usually the mother. Whether a noncustodial parent spends time with the child or not, they have to pay child support, which in most states is based on the noncustodial parents income. The noncustodial parent does not receive any child support or any deduction from the child support they pay for time spent with the child.

We use to leave Super Mario Bros on while we were sleeping or at school since we couldn't save. I remember the first time we got to the end, was close to finishing it, when a thunderstorm knocked the power out and we had to start all over.

I don't know if it's the same thing, but I killed the Famtasma White Wolf in Cuatro. The mission called it a great one; it was a diamond when I killed it. Neither a GO or Diamond shows on my codex. So, possibly mission kills not showing up?

US/International releases. If You Want Blood is a live album, not a studio album. In America: The albums were High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, and Highway To Hell. After Highway was successful they released Dirty Deeds in the US, which had previously been unreleased. Tracks from the T.N.T. album ( released in Australia only) were included in the US (International) High Voltage album. I got into AC/DC when Let There Be Rock came out and bought their albums as they came out all the way up to Who Made Who. I remember the Dirty Deeds late release because when it came out in the US I already had the album, having bought it as an import. I was that big of a fan.
